Abstract: An apparatus and method for associating a supplement compartment with a liquid container, wherein the supplement may be a vitamin, mineral, analgesic, antibiotic or other medicine, flavor or color additive or nutritional in nature, and may be readily accessible and retrievable for use with the liquid such as water or other beverage. The compartment may be nested atop a cap that covers the dispenser of the container or may be otherwise associated with the container in a secure but temporary and accessible manner.

Abstract: A ventilating and aspirating apparatus for delivering respiratory gases to the trachea of a patient and aspirating congested lungs and breathing passageways includes a flexible catheter tube extendable into and withdrawable from the patient's trachea, a resilient pliable sheath lending a structural rigidity to the apparatus and receiving the catheter tube when withdrawn from the patient, a valve structure attached to the catheter tube which is slidable along the length of the sheath, a manifold structure and swivel mounting means to allow coaxial swivel motion of the components, and a collapsible/extendable sealing envelope structure arranged to cover components on the proximal side of the manifold.

Abstract: A ventilated skin guard apparatus for protecting areas of sensitive skin is disclosed. The apparatus has two longitudinal end support members to which are connected a series of laterally placed arcuate members. Single arcuate members may be removed from the apparatus without removing the entire apparatus from the portion of the user's body having the sensitive area of skin.

Abstract: An applicator for dispensing metered amounts of medicaments in stick formulations is comprised of a hollow tube and a piston mounted to slidingly move within the tube. A finger operable base is rotatably mounted at one end of the tube and is mechanically linked by a screw member to the piston to urge the piston towards the other end of the tube. A depressible thumb piece is associated with the rotatable base. An extension or post is associated with the thumb piece to extend inward of the tube and to register with a race formed inside the tube. The race has a series of detents with which the extension may register upon rotation of the base. Registration between the extension and the detents signals certain increments of rotation or prevents further rotation of the base. The thumb piece is depressed inward to bring the extension out of registration with the detents.
