  • Publication number: 20160355876
Abstract: An assay assembly comprising a main housing and a capture device held inside the main housing for capturing a specific biomolecule and has a detection surface is disclosed. The main housing comprises an analyte inlet, an analyte outlet and a hybridization compartment, and the capture device is held inside the hybridization compartment with the detection surface fully extended inside the hybridization compartment. The analyte inlet is connected to an inlet end of the hybridization compartment by an analyte inlet channel and the analyte outlet is connected to an outlet end of the hybridization compartment by an analyte outlet channel.

  • Publication number: 20100248979
Abstract: A reversed flow-through device for rapid analysis of target analytes and method thereof, comprises one or more reaction chambers, each of which comprises one or more membranes for immobilizing capture molecules; controlling elements that can be regulated to maintain the reaction chamber in controlled conditions; connecting elements for connection to a power supply and control unit that can regulate and maintain the controlled conditions; and liquid delivery elements capable of accepting and removing solution, wherein the solution is maintained in a flow direction that flows against gravitational force, thereby providing higher sensitivity of analytes detection.

  • Publication number: 20060292601
Abstract: The present invention discloses the use of Allele-Specific-oligonucleotide (ASO) as a detection assay for human HLA classification. Using Reversed-Dot-Blotting format and flow through hybridization process, more efficient, faster and less expensive HLA classification can be achieved. A simplified procedure for HLA genotyping is also described. This invention further provides a Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP)-based DNA fingerprining method for rapid and accurate genotyping, identification as well as DNA analyses of genetic data from human beings and different organisms. In addition this invention also discloses a new device for rapid and sensitive analyses of nucleic acids, proteins and other analysts for diagnosis.

  • Publication number: 20050079493
Abstract: The present invention disclosed the use of single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) as the detection assay for human identification. Using the reversed dot-blot format and the flow through hybridization process, the process can be more efficient, less expensive and with similar or better power of exclusion in definitive identification. The present method can be applied to any other organisms.

  • Patent number: 4762142
Abstract: The float operated control valve includes a one-piece molded plastic valve body having a valve chamber, a first cylindrical extension defining an inlet chamber in communication with the valve chamber, a second cylindrical projection defining an outlet chamber in communication with the valve chamber and disposed at right angles to the first cylindrical projection and a third cylindrical projection having a cylindrical passage in which a plunger is slidably mounted. The plunger has a valve member mounted on one end thereof within the valve chamber for engagement with a valve seat surrounding a passage between the inlet chamber and the valve chamber. A diverter plate is disposed at an angle to the axis of the first and second cylindrical projections for diverting the fluid entering the valve chamber from the inlet chamber toward the outlet chamber.

  • Patent number: 4574405
Abstract: A water level control device is adapted to be detachably mounted within a swimming pool at the desired water level. A float controlled valve is mounted within the housing which is responsive to changes in the water level of the swimming pool and which is provided with a water inlet and outlet located outside of the housing so as to prevent turbulence within the housing. A suitable air vent is provided adjacent the top of the housing above the water line and restricted water inlet apertures are provided adjacent the bottom of the housing below the water level to maintain the water level within the housing at the same level as the water level in the pool.
