Patent number: 11472066Abstract: The technology described herein relates to a system of stackable/nesting stencils or molds for creating 3-D objects using a modeling compound material. The stencils or molds can be filled with the modeling compound material by hand and/or leveled using a roller to flatten the compound material more smoothly for a better outcome. Each stencil has a level and nests with another corresponding stencil of the set in a designated order. In some aspects, in order to guide a user with the correct designated order in which to fill the stencil plates or molds, each stencil plate or mold may be provided with a numbered tab. Once all the stencils are filled in the designated order with modeling compound materials, the stencil plates can be removed level by level to reveal a finished 3-D object. These 3-D objects may be anything from characters, vehicles, objects, figurines, and the like.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 2019Date of Patent: October 18, 2022Assignee: Crayola LLCInventors: Joseph Thomas Moll, Erin O'Boyle Westgate, Robert J. Publication number: 20190073115Abstract: Systems and methods for enhancing a user-selectable image using a template overlay kit are described. The template overlay kit comprises a template portfolio including a first template page having a design template configured to receive a user marking. The template overlay kit further comprises an overlay kit application that, when executed by a computing device, receives a captured image of the design template and the user marking, and generates a custom digital overlay in a display of the computing device. A custom digital overlay is generated from a digital overlay template that incorporates the user marking received by the design template. The overlay kit application then augments one or more facial features detected in the user-selectable image using the custom digital overlay incorporating the user marking.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 5, 2018Publication date: March 7, 2019Inventors: Joseph Thomas Moll, Brian Edward Nemeckay
