  • Patent number: 12325495
Abstract: A rod and beverage holding apparatus includes a holding assembly having a body member operatively coupled to a boat seat post—either directly or via a length adjustment assembly. The holding assembly may include a generally planar body member that defines a beverage holding structure having a cylindrical or conical configuration for receiving a cup or can. The apparatus includes a rod holder assembly fixedly attached to the holding assembly and has a cylindrical configuration for receiving and holding a fishing rod. The body member of the holding assembly may include a rear section having a hollow interior area for holding personal items. The apparatus includes length and height adjustment assemblies so that the beverage, rod, and phone holding assemblies may be adjusted in unison.

  • Publication number: 20240415551
Abstract: A plate system includes a retention cap and a plate. The retention cap includes a head with tangs and a shank. The shank includes protrusions at an end of the shank and relief cut-outs clocked relative to the protrusions. The plate includes screw holes and a locking feature. The locking feature includes an assembly guide adapted to guide the shank and features thereof into the locking feature, locking detents distal to the top surface of the plate and adapted to receive the protrusions and interfere with rotational movement of the retention cap, and a retainer positioned axially between the assembly guide and the locking detents. The retainer is adapted to prevent axial movement of the retention cap. The locking feature is adapted to hold the retention cap with the tangs overlapping the screw holes and with the tangs not overlapping the screw holes.

  • Publication number: 20240317619
Abstract: Wastewater with high ammonia concentration is pre-treated before discharging it into a wastewater treatment plant treating lower strength wastewater, for example an activated sludge plant treating municipal sewage. The high strength wastewater is pre-treated to oxidize ammonia by contact with a fixed film supported on gas transfer membranes in a membrane aerated biofilm reactor. The pre-treatment may be a batch or continuous process. The pre-treatment can be controlled to remove ammonia to about the point of material alkalinity depletion. One or more parameters such as alkalinity, pH, or membrane exhaust oxygen concentration can be monitored to determine if alkalinity depletion has occurred or is about to occur. In some examples, the high strength wastewater is blended with wastewater having less ammonia and more alkalinity, for example municipal sewage or primary effluent. In some examples, the high strength wastewater is a liquid fraction of one or more sludges.

  • Patent number: 11673820
Abstract: A hybrid membrane aerated biofilm reactor (MABR) and activated sludge (AS) system and process are described herein. At least a portion of the AS system includes aerobic mixed liquor, for example in an aerobic tank or zone downstream of a tank or zone containing membrane aerated biofilm modules. The flow of air to the membrane aerated biofilm is modulated considering the ammonia loading rate to the system or to the aerobic mixed liquor, for example according to a diurnal cycle. For example, air flow to the membrane supported biofilm can be below an average or initial air flow rate during a period of low ammonia loading. Air flow to the aerobic mixed liquor may remain essentially constants during the same period. Optionally, mixed liquor around the membrane aerated biofilm modules may be aerated during a period of high ammonia loading.

  • Publication number: 20220198933
Abstract: This invention relates to systems and methods that provide compensation for participants in a cooperative driving or autonomous driving platoon based on their role within said platoon. Certain roles in these types of platoons provide a natural benefit. Other roles in the same platoon provide either less of a benefit, zero benefit or a burden. It is unlikely that a participating vehicle would willingly choose a role with a lesser benefit or burden; thereby significantly reducing the probability that a platoon could form. The system and methods within this invention overcome that economic disincentive; thereby removing an obstacle to cooperative driving or autonomous platoons.
