  • Patent number: 3946016
Abstract: Fungicidally and bactericidally active compounds of the formula ##SPC1##Where R is allyl, cyclohexyl, naphthyl and preferably, ##SPC2##Where R.sub.1 is methoxy, ethoxy, methylthio, ethoxycarbonyl; R.sub.2 is H, methoxy, chloro, methyl, nitro; R.sub.3 is H, chloro. The compounds are used as fungistats and bacteriostats in soap and shampoo formulations and as preservatives in various industrial preparations. Certain di-8-quinolyl esters of arylenedicarbamic acid and poly(8-quinolyl esters) of carbanilic acid are found to possess activity against bacteria and fungi.
