  • Publication number: 20240146781
Abstract: A method for collaboration using digital notes. A facilitator starts a session during a video conferencing with participants and can share a screen with the participants. The screen displays a code, a session ID, and a link. Participants join the session by scanning the code with a camera, entering the session ID, or accessing the link. During the session, the participants can create digital notes or scan physical notes to have them converted to digital notes. The facilitator then receives the digital notes sent from the participants during the session and moves the digital notes to a group on the facilitator's screen. Since the facilitator's screen is shared with the participants, any participant can view the digital notes in the group from all of the participants for collaboration as controlled by the facilitator.

  • Patent number: 11963691
Abstract: A surgical instrument, has an end effector that includes an ultrasonic blade, and a clamp arm that moves relative to the ultrasonic blade from an opened position toward an intermediate position and a closed position. The clamp arm is offset from the ultrasonic blade to define a predetermined gap in the intermediate position between the opened position and the closed position. A clamp arm actuator connects to the clamp arm and moves from an opened configuration to a closed configuration to direct the clamp arm from the opened position toward the intermediate position and the closed position. A spacer connects with the clamp arm to inhibit movement of the clamp arm from the intermediate position toward the closed position for maintaining the predetermined gap between the clamp arm and the ultrasonic blade.

  • Patent number: 6481203
Abstract: A variable speed transmission including a rotatable input member, a fluid pump operatively engaged with the input member, a fluid in the pump being pumped in response to rotation of the input member, and a fluid motor in fluid communication with the fluid pump, fluid pumped by the pump being received by the fluid motor, the fluid motor being driven by fluid received by the fluid motor and having a variable output speed. Means are provided for selectively varying the displacement of the fluid pump or the fluid motor, whereby the output speed of the fluid motor is varied. A rotatable output member is operatively engaged with the fluid motor, and a reversible electric motor having an output shaft is provided, the output shaft having varying angular positions. The output shaft is in mechanical engagement with the displacement varying means, and the displacement of the one of the fluid pump and the fluid motor being varied in response to changes in the output shaft angular position.

  • Patent number: 6010423
Abstract: A variable speed transmission including a rotatable input member connectable to a drive source, a pump for pumping fluid through a conduit, a gear train including an epicyclic gear train operatively coupled to the input member and the pump, and a rotatable output member selectively operatively connected to either a forward or a reverse drive gear, wherein the output member has a forward drive ratio corresponding with its connection to the forward drive gear and a different, reverse drive ratio corresponding with its connection to the reverse drive gear. The transmission may also include a pressure compensating flow metering device for regulating the pressure of fluid flowing through said conduit.

  • Patent number: 4197032
Abstract: An apparatus for concurrently preparing a ground surface and forming a continuous strip of paving material thereon, and which is characterized by the ability to simultaneously grade the ground surface substantially coextensively with the successive slip forming of the pavement material. The apparatus includes a ground trimmer and a following slip former, with the trimmer being laterally translatable with respect to the slip former so that the concurrent grading and slip forming functions can be performed along a curvilinear path while closely maintaining the lateral alignment of the graded ground surface with the successive placement of the paving material. Thus excessive ground surface is not graded, and no area requiring preparation is omitted.
