  • Patent number: 8661330
Abstract: Embodiments of a computer system, a method and a computer-program product (e.g., software) for use with the computer system are described. These embodiments may be used to assist users while they are filling in forms. In particular, based at least in part on a current location of a user (such as a location of a portable electronic device associated with the user), an association with location and non-location information for an entity may be identified. For example, a predetermined relationship between the user's current location and the location of the entity may be accessed. Alternatively, a relationship between the user's current location and the location of the entity may be determined, for example, based at least in part on proximity. This identified location and/or non-location information for the entity may be used to fill in one or more fields in a form associated with an application.

  • Patent number: 8243074
Abstract: A dynamic financial caricature graphic whereby financial data associated with a user is obtained from one or more sources. The financial data associated with a user obtained from one or more sources is then aggregated and/or categorized/re-categorized to generate a personalized financial caricature graphic that is a visual representation of the user and the user's financial situation. The visual characteristics of the dynamic financial caricature graphic, such as size, weight, height, clothing, color, accessories, etc., are chosen based on the financial data associated with a user obtained from one or more sources and/or one or more criteria provided. The user's financial data is then monitored and the visual characteristics of the dynamic financial caricature graphic are changed and/or updated in accordance with changes in the financial data associated with the user obtained from the one or more sources.

  • Patent number: 8090794
Abstract: Embodiments of a computer system, a method, and a computer-program product (e.g., software) for use with the computer system are described. These embodiments may be used to customize displayed content in a document, such as a web page or a user interface in a software application. In particular, by monitoring user activities while one or more users view the document during multiple sessions, the computer system can identify the most relevant content at a particular time. Then, the computer system selectively modifies the displayed content in the document based on the monitored user activity. For example, the computer system may selectively filter the content in the document so that a subset of the content is displayed. Moreover, the displayed content may be dynamically revised based on subsequent user actions.
