  • Patent number: 7080765
Abstract: A dispenser for locating beneath a wall cabinet or shelf and provided for dispensing sheet materials, or boxed material, such as sheets, or bags. The dispenser includes a pair of support beams, one normally for locating the front, and the other at the back, and a pivotal door connecting to the front beam. The space between the beams are compartmentalized, and end walls provide closure to the dispenser. The various compartments are provided for mounting miscellaneous rolls or boxes of dispensed material. One or more styles of clamps connect to one or both of the beams, and can hold, for example, a roll of paper towels, while other compartments include lower flanges, for support of the rolls or boxed material, for dispensing. Various types of roll holding devices, such as shaped wire, are resilient and flexible members are designed for holding rolls of the sheet materials in place, during dispensing.

  • Publication number: 20040129123
Abstract: A work station for gift wrapping comprising a compartment for storage of rolls of paper, wrapping accessories and tools, a top surface for placement of objects to be wrapped, a removable roll holding means attached to an end panel, a tape dispenser holding means attached to another end panel, an end and a bottom panel. The work station is set up by installing the roll holding means on one of the end panels, and by placing a common scotch tape dispenser on a holding means that allows a user to easily dispense tape from the dispenser. A roll of paper is removed the compartment and easily inserted onto the roll holding means, and during a dispensing operation keeps the edge of the paper aligned with the adjacent end panel. An article for wrapping is placed on top of the paper after it has been dispensed and is cut to length and width using a common letter opener type cutter. Tape is easily pulled from tape dispenser while holding the wrapped article.

  • Patent number: 5364905
Abstract: A continuous method for the in-situ polymerization of plastic in an elastomeric material in a form suitable for reinforcing the elastomeric material is provided. The method comprises feeding elastomer and a monomer or monomer precursor of a reinforcing material into a mixing device, mixing the elastomer and the monomer or monomer precursor vigorously, initiating polymerization, and causing the monomers to continue to polymerize until the polymer solidifies when the melting point of the polymer produced exceeds the mixing temperature of the elastomer, terminating polymerization.

  • Patent number: 5225457
Abstract: A method of mixing micro and macro fibers into a polymer matrix and products made thereby are provided. In the illustrated method, a micro reinforcing polymer is mixed with an elastomeric base polymer and preformed macro fibers are added thereto. In one embodiment, the micro reinforcing polymer forms micro fibers in a resulting elastomeric matrix which is interspersed with macro fibers. A base polymer matrix interspersed with micro reinforcing polymer and macro fibers made according to the invention can be used in reinforced elastomeric products such as tires.

  • Patent number: 5129565
Abstract: A refillable dispenser for housing and dispensing one or more sheet materials packaged in boxed or roll form. Dispenser (10) is permanently attached to the underside of an existing cabinet or shelf and is preferably made substantially from wood to match the style and decor of kitchen cabinets. The dispenser is characterized by horizontally spaced vertical side panels (14) supportably attached to a pair of support beams (12), which are also are used to secure the dispenser to the cabinet. One of the side panels supports a cantilevered bottom shelf (16) extending toward an adjacent side panel such that a dispensing slot is formed. The bottom shelf is inclined from the adjoining panel such that a roll (32) of sheet material is held in place by the inclined bottom shelf and the side panel. The lower end of the adjacent panel supports a vertical serrated cutting edge (18). A door (20) attached with hinges from the support beam serves as an end panel and permits replacement of spent materials.

  • Patent number: 4988114
Abstract: A work-engaging member is attached to the wheelchair frame adjacent to the footrest assembly of a wheelchair to cause latching and releasing of the footrest assembly for rotation about a vertical axis. As the work-engaging member is turned by a rotatable means a surface thereon which is spaced from the axis of rotation slidably contacts the footrest assembly to push the footrest assembly latch and causes the footrest assembly to swing to the side of the wheelchair. Rotation of the work-engaging member in the opposite direction causes the device to contact a surface of the footrest assembly thereby laterally urging the footrest assembly around the vertical axis so as to reposition and cause the latching of the footrest assembly into a locked position in front of the wheelchair.
