  • Patent number: 11972277
Abstract: A method for ascertaining an emotional goal includes receiving, via an emotionally responsive computerized system having a user interface communicatively coupled to a networked user device including a processor device, user-input concerning a purpose of a user's interaction with a software interface. It can include registering input indicating a target person to whom the purpose of the user's interaction pertains and prompting the user to provide a root motivator comprising a root emotion or a root reason for the interaction. Some variations include generating a user-perceptible output and a set of user interface elements dependent on the root motivator along with obtaining the user's specific emotional goal with respect to the target person on the basis of user-inputs in response to a presentation of a sequence of user interface elements, to provide the user, via the software interface, a recommendation regarding a fulfillment of the specific emotional goal.

  • Patent number: 11970993
Abstract: A Brayton cycle engine and method for operation. The engine includes an inner wall assembly and an upstream wall assembly each extended from a longitudinal wall into a gas flowpath. An actuator adjusts a depth of the detonation combustion region into the gas flowpath between the inner wall assembly and the upstream wall assembly. The engine flows an oxidizer through the gas flowpath and the inner wall captures a portion of the oxidizer. The engine further adjusts the captured flow of oxidizer via the upstream wall and flows a first flow of fuel to the captured flow of oxidizer to produce rotating detonation gases. The engine flows the detonation gases downstream and to mix with the flow of oxidizer, and flows and burns a second flow of fuel to the detonation gases/oxidizer mixture to produce thrust.

  • Publication number: 20210147082
Abstract: An overhead stowage bin assembly having a bin structure with a lower panel and an open side that defines a front of the stowage bin assembly. The lower panel has a leading edge that is arranged at the front of the stowage bin assembly. A cover is formed by base plates and a central plate and is secured to the lower panel to form a passage. The central plate has protruding ribs that are aligned to increase the stiffness of the cover and the rigidity of the lower panel. A threshold has walls that are connected to each other and define a channel. The leading edge of the lower panel is received within the channel such that the threshold walls mate with opposite surfaces of the lower panel so as to grip the leading edge of the panel and further enhance the stiffness of the lower panel.

  • Patent number: 9738997
Abstract: The present invention relates to a quilting machine and more specifically a long-arm stitching machine, or stitcher. The stitcher includes handles that are used to trace a laser dot on a pantograph pattern located in front of the fabric being quilted. Tracing the laser dot ensures that the needle and thread associated with the sewing machine head duplicates the pattern being traced. In the present invention, the handles are placed to one side of the sewing machine head to allow an operator to remain upright when watching the laser trace the pattern or the needle and thread quilting the fabric.

  • Patent number: 9650734
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sewing machine, specifically a long-armed stitcher. The present invention includes a computer device that may store pantograph patterns therein. The data including the pantograph patterns may be sent to projection units associated with the sewing machine head of the long-armed stitcher. The projection units use projection elements to project the pantograph patterns on the fabric to be stitched, allowing an operator of the stitcher to trace the projected pattern with a needle associated with the sewing machine head. Measurement devices associated with the sewing machine head determine head movement and alter the projected pattern accordingly such that the needle of the sewing head may continue to follow the pantograph pattern despite the head having moved in order to trace the pattern.

  • Publication number: 20170132545
Abstract: Technologies for reliably and efficiently mapping any particular bug report identifying a target component to a relevant owner who is currently responsible for handling the bug report. This mapping involves considering a list of developers that have historically and currently contributed to the identified target component, ranking each contributing developer based on a measure of recency of his contribution, considering a list of the managers of the contributing developers, ranking each manager based on the rankings of his contributing developers, identifying an area path (“AP”) in an AP hierarchy based on these rankings, mapping the identified AP to a current AP, determining, based on the current AP, a relevant owner of the identified target component, and assigning the bug report to the relevant owner.
