  • Patent number: 9044289
Abstract: A universal transitional abutment for immediate placement during the first and/or second stages of the dental implant surgery is presented. The transitional dental abutment can approximate the natural appearance of a patient's own tooth. The transitional dental abutment can bypass the traditional anti-rotational component common to most dental implant systems by directly screwing the transitional dental abutment onto a dental implant. In another embodiment, the abutment can be a universal anterior transitional abutment. The anterior transitional dental abutment can include a ball and a crown. The ball can be affixed to the dental implant and the crown snaps onto the ball. The transitional dental abutment can be universally used on most dental implants regardless of manufacturer by simply changing the fastener of the transitional dental abutment. The universal transitional abutments can be permanent.

  • Publication number: 20110244425
Abstract: Universal dental healing abutments, kits for installing universal dental healing abutments, and methods of installing universal dental healing abutments are disclosed. The universal dental healing abutment may have a circumferential body attachable to a dental implant, and a crown attachable to the body. The body may have an upper section integral with a tapered lower section, and a central opening extending through the body. The kit may have a screw and a universal dental healing abutment. The method of installing may include surgically placing a dental implant into the jaw of a patient, selecting a circumferential body, inserting a tapered lower section of the body within the dental implant, attaching the circumferential body to the dental implant, and attaching a crown to the circumferential body such that the crown is out of occlusion.

  • Patent number: 5765841
Abstract: An in-line skate with full access frame is provided which includes a skate boot with a sole portion, a two-piece frame secured to the boot sole and a plurality of wheels. The frame includes a first frame portion and a second frame portion cooperating to form a wheel channel when the second frame portion is in a first position adjacent to the first frame portion. The skate wheels are disposed for rotation within the wheel channel. Preferably, the first frame portion is securely connected to the boot sole with the second frame portion movably connected to the first frame portion. The second frame portion is movable from the first position adjacent to the first frame portion to a second position away from the first frame portion to allow access to the wheels. The second frame portion preferably includes at least one connector member sized to be received within a corresponding support cavity or slot in the first frame portion or the boot sole when the second frame portion is in the first position.

  • Patent number: 4203219
Abstract: A U-shaped die locator is molded of a plastics material and has a tapered rib portion with non-uniformly spaced and laterally extending grooves on opposite sides of the rib portion. The rib portion is inserted into a settable model material which is poured into a negative dental impression to form a positive model. The die locator has a second or channel portion which is embedded within a settable base material poured onto the model to form a base for the model. After the base material hardens, the model is separated from the base and the rib portion, and the model is cut into model dies or sections which are reseated on the rib portion and the base. The die locator may also be molded with integral small diameter support pins which may be used for positioning the die locator within the negative impression by a conventional pin setter or support device.
