  • Publication number: 20070136600
Abstract: Described is a system and method of verifying documents for users possessing little or no document examination skill or experience. The system and method involve simple, secure, and expeditious means for determining the authenticity of identity or financial documents. In addition, users can submit documents of questionable authenticity to the appropriate authority.

  • Publication number: 20070081210
Abstract: A hologram imaging device for obtaining hologram images and associated document markings which are commonly being used for document verification is disclosed. The imaging device comprises a housing defining an imaging chamber, camera, hologram light source, document light source and imaging platform. The hologram light source consists of a series of illumination devices (e.g., LEDs) adjustably mounted in an arc or semicircular arrangement. An LED controller regulates the state of the LEDs by controlling whether each LED is on or off and adjusting the intensity of each LED in an on position. During use, a document is secured within the housing by the imaging platform such that a hologram or other document marking is positioned beneath a camera lens. Then, the LEDs of the hologram light source are regulated by the LED controller such that different images and/or colors of the hologram may be captured by the camera.

  • Publication number: 20060061102
Abstract: A jacketed pipe flange 10 for connection to an end of an inner pipe 12 and to an end of a jacketed outer pipe 14 surrounding the inner pipe includes a central throughport 16 for mating with the inner pipe. The first annular sealing surface 18 surrounds a central throughport for sealing fluid within the inner pipe, a second annular sealing surface 20 surrounds the first sealing surface, and a third annular sealing surface 22 surrounds the second annular sealing surface for sealing fluid in the jacketed outer pipe from the exterior of the flange. An annular gap 24 separates the first and second sealing surfaces, and a test port 26 fluidly connects the annular gap with an exterior port in the flange. A plurality of axially extending throughports 34 in the flange between the second and third sealing surfaces pass fluid through the jacketed outer pipe and the flange to downstream components.

  • Publication number: 20030094547
Abstract: The pipe shoe 10 includes a generally horizontal base plate 12, 52, a left-side support plate 22, 62, a right-side support plate 24, 64, a curved lower plate 32, 72, and a curved upper plate 34, 84. An attachment mechanism for securing the lower end of the upper plate to the respective support plate includes a bolt which passes through a hole in a lower end of the upper plate and a port in the respective support plate. When the bolt is tightened, the curved upper plate is pulled toward the base plate to place the bolt in both tension and shear. Each support plate is preferably angled with respect to a plane perpendicular to a plane of the base plate and away from the centerline of the pipe.
