  • Publication number: 20180108178
Abstract: A method for inspecting a component includes generating measurement data of the component, using a measurement device coupled to an optical marker device. The method further includes generating co-ordinate data of the measurement device, using the optical marker device and at least one camera. The method includes generating synchronized measurement data based on the measurement data and the co-ordinate data. The method further includes retrieving pre-stored data corresponding to the synchronized measurement data, from a database. The method also includes generating feedback data based on the pre-stored data and the synchronized measurement data, using an augmented reality technique. The method includes operating the measurement device based on the feedback data to perform one or more measurements to be acquired from the component.

  • Patent number: 9912623
Abstract: A system to adaptively control multimedia communication sessions includes a mediator unit in an intermediary communication position between two or more remote clients and a media infrastructure. The mediator unit includes a receiver, a transmitter and a control processor that controls the receiver and the transmitter. The mediator unit communicates remote clients across a communication network, where the first client initiates a communication session and the mediator unit assigns a unique session identifier to the communication message. Additional remote clients send join requests including the unique session identifier, and the mediator unit acts as a back-to-back user agent to pass messages between two remote clients of a two-client communication session.

  • Patent number: 9684903
Abstract: A system and method for remotely providing expert assistance receive identification information from a mobile device that is representative of a component and communicate the identification information to remotely located expert personnel. The system and method also receive an expert-identified work scope that includes guidance information for display on the mobile device to guide the operator through diagnosing, repairing, testing, and/or replacing the component. The system and method also store the expert-identified work scope and the identification information such that the expert-identified work scope is associated with the identification information. The system and method compare subsequently received identification information with the stored identification information and automatically select and communicate the expert-identified work scope based on comparing the subsequently received identification information with the stored identification information.

  • Publication number: 20160269349
Abstract: A method for correlating multiple collaborative sessions occurring on multiple single-modality systems includes creating a respective collaborative element containing metadata about each respective collaborative session, associating each collaborative element with a corresponding collaborative conversation, providing an overlaying control plane across the multiple single-modality systems, computing and storing conversational context of user actions within the collaborative sessions. The method further includes performing data aggregation of data within the multiple collaborative sessions, publishing one or more messages providing information regarding changes in the multiple collaborative sessions, switching modalities by entities participating in one or more of the multiple collaborative sessions, wherein the entities can follow session conversations by accessing the published one or more messages, and embedding a link in a single-modality system user interface referring to a previous session.

  • Publication number: 20160150041
Abstract: At a session context proxy component, a first communication destined for a first session manager is intercepted. It may be identified that the first communication references a first piece of content. A request may be sent to a content access monitor to obtain metadata about the first piece of content. The metadata about the first piece of content is then sent to the first session manager for storage with session information for the first communication. A second communication destined for a second session manager is intercepted, the second communication in a different communications modality than the first communication. It may be identified that the second communication references a second piece of content. A request may be sent to the content access monitor to obtain metadata about the second piece of content. The metadata about the second piece of content is then sent to the second session manager for storage with session information for the second communication.

  • Publication number: 20160142450
Abstract: A system and method include a mobile workspace coupled to a communications network. The method includes providing a mobile workspace on a server, wherein the server is coupled to a communications network; providing a user interface including: two or more selectable media tools for communicating on the workspace, and one or more contacts, wherein the one or more contacts are selectable to participate in a synchronized communication session with a user on the mobile workspace. One or more contacts are selected to participate in the communication session with the user on the workspace. The one or more selected contacts are synchronized with the user on the mobile workspace, wherein each of the synchronized selected contacts and the synchronized user accesses the mobile workspace. The content is provided to the mobile workspace; and the content is stored to the mobile workspace on the server. Numerous other aspects are provided.
