  • Patent number: 7458331
Abstract: A device support for the passenger area of a recreational boat having a deck and interior side walls extending up from the deck, including a clamping plate and a support arm. The clamping plate has an open top slot and is secured to the boat side wall so as to define an open top space between the clamping plate and the boat side wall. The support arm has a base plate on one end and an attachment end on the other end, with the base plate removably received in the defined open top space with the support arm one end extending through the open top slot of the clamping plate. The supported device is secured to the attachment end of the support arm, and the support arm is non-linear, with one end extending generally horizontally and the other end extending generally vertically.

  • Publication number: 20080271660
Abstract: A boat with a controllable wake, including a boat hull with a propulsion system. A wake controlling device includes first and second plates with a bottom surface which is convexly curved between their forward and rear ends, and first and second mounts secured to the port and starboard sides, respectively, of the boat transom and securing the forward ends of the plates for pivoting about axes which are behind the boat transom and generally lie parallel to the plane of the aft boat bottom adjacent the first and second mounts. Plate controls extend between the transom and the plates to adjustably pivot the plates relative to the mounts. A plurality of generally triangular fins extend from the plates at substantially right angles to the plate bottom surfaces and extend at substantially right angles from the axes. Side plates are on the lateral edges of the first and second plates.

  • Publication number: 20080202852
Abstract: A stowable ladder for a boat deck, including a base plate securable to the underside of a boat, a rotary plate secured for pivoting about an axis relative to the base plate (with the axis being generally vertical when the base plate is secured to a boat underside), a bracket on the underside of the rotary plate, and a swim ladder secured to the bracket. The ladder is movable relative to the bracket between a stowed position generally parallel to the rotary plate and a usable position depending downwardly therefrom in a generally vertical position. A latch secures the rotary plate relative to the base plate whereby the ladder in the stowed position extends generally transverse to the keel of the boat when secured thereto, and pivots between about 60° to 120° relative to the base plate when moving between the stowed position and the usable position.

  • Patent number: 7063031
Abstract: A wake control device for a boat, including a mounting member pivotally securable to the boat aft for pivoting about a first axis substantially transverse to the boat aft, a rudder member secured to the mounting member for pivoting about a second axis substantially perpendicular to the first axis, a drive selectively controlling the pivotal position of the mounting member about the first axis, and a fin extending laterally relative to the rudder member. Such a wake control device, with or without pivoting about the second axis, may also be secured directly to an outboard drive as well. A control manually operable by a wake boarder while being towed remotely controls the pivotal position controlling drive.
