    Abstract: Degradable hollow shell particles are disclosed that can encapsulate cells within the hollow inner cavity that allows for the high-throughput screening and sorting of the encapsulated cells based on their phenotypic properties. The solid-phase of the particle is porous such that solution exchange can occur between the external environment and the interior cavity. Further, the solid-phase contains degradable crosslinkers and can be degraded to release enclosed biological entities. An example embodiment consists of encapsulating a cell within the hollow shell particle, allowing the cell to accumulate biomass, selecting hollow shell particles based on accumulated biomass, and degrading the hollow shell particles to release the cells and develop hyper-producing cell lines. Exemplary cell types include microalgae, mammalian cells, bacteria, yeast, and fungi.

During operation, the system can generate, based on an electronic circuit design, a first list of nets and a first design layout corresponding to the electronic circuit design. The system can receive, via one or more user interactive elements on a graphical user interface, a list of nets including a first subset of nets from the first list of nets. Further the system can determine, based on the second list of nets, a set of leaf-cells. The system may extract the first subset of the nets and the set of leaf-cells from the first design layout and copy them to a new display on the graphical user interface to represent a new design layout. The system can then provide the new design layout to a layout parameter extraction process.

    Abstract: Electrodes providing excellent recording and physical stability. Electrodes are disclosed that may include a plurality of small teeth that possess a novel design shape and orientation. The shallow and relatively long teeth run parallel to the rim of the electrode that presses against the patient’s skin. When the electrode is twisted onto skin, the tiny teeth penetrate the stratum corneum and move nearly horizontally under the stratum corneum, thus anchoring the electrode securely to the skin. The electrodes cause minimal discomfort to the patient since the small teeth do not extend to the pain fibers which are located in deeper layers of the skin. The electrodes may be fabricated in a variety of geometries including cylindrical, disk, and blunt bullet or top shapes. In some instances, the electrodes may be connected to detachable leads having magnetic properties.
