    Abstract: We describe a method of providing an indication useful in the diagnosis or prognosis of dengue, the method comprising detecting a change in the expression pattern or level of: (a) a ubiquitin-proteasome pathway protein; (b) a interferon-related protein; or (c) an NF-?B-mediated cytokine/chemokine response protein. We also describe a method of identifying a molecule suitable for the treatment or prevention of dengue, the method comprising determining if a candidate molecule is an agonist or antagonist of any one or more of these proteins.
