  • Patent number: 11993507
Abstract: A system determines that a fuel dispensing operation may be anomalous. In response, the system accesses fuel inventory data that indicates fuel levels in a fuel tank within a threshold period. The system determines a measure amount of fuel that left the fuel tank based on the fuel inventory data. The system determines a calculated amount of dispensed fuel associated with one or more fuel dispensing operations within the threshold period. The system compares the measured amount of fuel that left the fuel tank with the calculated amount of dispensed fuel. The system determines that the measured amount of fuel that left the fuel tank is more than the calculated amount of dispensed fuel. In response, the system confirms that the fuel dispensing operation is anomalous and communicates an electronic signal to the fuel dispensing terminal that causes the fuel dispensing terminal to stop dispensing fuel.

  • Patent number: 11833647
Abstract: A bushing handle for use with a renewable bushing. The bushing handle facilitates a quick-change configuration by using a liner bushing disposed in a through bore. The liner bushing can accept a plurality of different renewable bushings having various inner diameters and other characteristics, eliminating the need to stock and store a multitude of different bushing handles. The liner bushing may be a lock liner, which facilitates the quick-change function, and provides a ground inner diameter, which is more resistant to wear and tear than the light metal construction of the handle itself.

  • Publication number: 20230332860
Abstract: A loading mechanism includes a housing including a loading chamber positioned adjacent to a housing passageway. The loading chamber is operable to load ammunition therein. A resilient bucking is disposed within the housing passageway. The bucking includes a bucking passageway that is operable to receive ammunition transferred from the loading chamber. A spring, having a plurality of spring coils, is disposed in the housing passageway. The spring is operable to apply pressure to the bucking when the spring is compressed. A gun barrel is slidably positioned within the housing passageway. A fastening mechanism is operable to attach the gun barrel to the housing and to put the spring into compression. When the spring is compressed, pressure is applied to the bucking and the bucking passageway is collapsed inward to seal entirely around ammunition that is positioned within the bucking passageway.

  • Patent number: 11718629
Abstract: This invention outlines a method for synthesizing a blended resin system in a one pot reaction that may utilize, for example, bio-based anhydrosugars such as isosorbide as a principle component to produce isosorbide dimethacrylate and other monomeric materials for thermosetting applications. This invention establishes a one-pot procedure for reacting a hydroxy group containing compound with methacrylic anhydride in the first step and using the by-product methacrylic acid to react with glycidyl ethers to form additional methacrylate compounds in the second step. This methodology can be formulated to produce a wide array of resin systems that have controlled ratios of hydroxy group containing compound/cross-linker/reactive diluent. Additionally, the novel resin systems may be partially to fully bio-based, promoting global sustainability and reducing costs, and when free radically polymerized have properties that meet or exceed their petroleum derived counterparts.

  • Patent number: 11654640
Abstract: Systems and methods of controlling outputs of infrared heaters used to join a first part to a second part, and a component made thereby. Upper and lower nests hold the first and second parts, respectively. A movable heating platen has infrared heaters on opposite surfaces. Imaging sensors have fields of view encompassing heated portions of the first and second parts, respectively, when the platen is retracted away from an area between the upper and lower nests. A controller causes the upper and lower nests to move while causing the platen to extend into and retract away from the area between the upper and lower nests. The first imaging sensor takes a first image of the heated portions of the first part, which causes an adjustment to be made to an output of the infrared heaters in a subsequent welding cycle.

  • Publication number: 20230081346
Abstract: A generative network may be learned in an adversarial setting with a goal of modifying synthetic data such that a discriminative network may not be able to reliably tell the difference between refined synthetic data and real data. The generative network and discriminative network may work together to learn how to produce more realistic synthetic data with reduced computational cost. The generative network may iteratively learn a function that synthetic data with a goal of generating refined synthetic data that is more difficult for the discriminative network to differentiate from real data, while the discriminative network may be configured to iteratively learn a function that classifies data as either synthetic or real. Over multiple iterations, the generative network may learn to refine the synthetic data to produce refined synthetic data on which other machine learning models may be trained.
