  • Patent number: 11395743
Abstract: An expandable implant having superior and inferior endplates is disclosed. The superior endplate includes a first inside surface having a crossbar extending in the widthwise direction. The inferior endplate includes a second inside surface having a medial support structure, a threaded core, and a receiving cavity. A threaded locking screw may be disposed in the threaded core, and a proximal saddle may be disposed in the receiving cavity. In various embodiments, in a locked position, a relative position of the inferior endplate with respect to the superior endplate is fixed, and the threaded locking screw directly contacts, pushes, applies a force against, and/or compresses, the proximal saddle, the proximal saddle directly contacts, pushes, applies a force against, and/or compresses the crossbar, the crossbar directly contacts, pushes, applies a force against, and/or compresses the distal saddle, and the distal saddle directly contacts and is engaged against the second interior distal wall.

  • Publication number: 20220133488
Abstract: A rhomboid shaped spinal implant may include a proximal surface that extends from a first lower end to a first upper end thereof a first distance, and a distal surface that extends from a second lower end to a second upper end thereof a second distance. The implant may include a superior surface that extends from the first upper end of the proximal surface to the second upper end of the distal surface a third distance, and an inferior surface that extends from the first lower end of the proximal surface to the second lower end of the distal surface a fourth distance. In various embodiments, the first distance is greater than the second distance, and the third distance is less than the fourth distance. In some embodiments, at least one bone screw aperture defines a trajectory extending in a direction substantially perpendicular to the superior and/or inferior surface.

  • Publication number: 20220133497
Abstract: An expandable implant movable between a contracted position and an expanded position, is disclosed. In various embodiments, the implant may include a superior endplate and an inferior endplate having proximal ramps and distal ramps disposed on an interior surface thereof, respectively. In various embodiments, a proximal set screw and a distal set screw may be independently coupled to a proximal wedge and a distal wedge. Upon rotation of the proximal set screw, the proximal wedge may act against the proximal ramps of the superior and inferior endplates and cause the implant to expand at the proximal end. Upon rotation of the distal set screw, the distal wedge may act against the distal ramps of the superior and inferior endplates and cause the implant to expand at the distal end. In some embodiments, a first eyelet and a second eyelet for supporting a corresponding bone screw, respectively, may be included.

  • Patent number: 10959899
Abstract: A patient support structure for supporting a patient in a supine position for surgery and a method for use of the patient support structure is provided. The patient support structure includes a back support portion, a neck support portion, and a head support portion. The back support portion includes a panel portion and padding padding movably attached to relative to the upper surface. The neck support portion includes an adjustable neck support pad and at least a first rotational adjustment assembly, where the first rotational adjustment assembly is configured to eccentrically rotate the neck support pad about an axis offset from a central axis of the rotatable neck pad. The head support portion includes at least one base portion, a first arm portion, a second arm portion, and a head harness, where the first arm portion and the second arm portion are adjustable inwardly/outwardly and upwardly/downwardly, and the head harness is supported by the first arm portion and the second arm portion.
