    Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for providing information (e.g. advertisements) to a mobile device based on the location of the mobile device. The location of a mobile device can be tracked to determine when to provide the information to the mobile device. After information has been displayed on the mobile device, the location of the mobile device can be tracked to determine whether the mobile device comes within a specified proximity of a location associated with the information. For example, the information can be for an event at a first location. The invention can track whether and when the mobile device comes within a specified proximity of the first location after the information for the event is displayed.
