Abstract: Augmented reality methods and systems are described. According to one aspect, an augmented reality computer system includes processing circuitry configured to access an image of the real world, wherein the image includes a real world object, and evaluate the image using a neural network to determine a plurality of augmented reality estimands which are indicative of a pose of the real world object and which are useable to generate augmented content regarding the real world object. Other methods and systems are disclosed including additional aspects directed towards training and using neural networks.
