  • Patent number: 9668043
Abstract: An elastomeric component for use with an earbud headphone and for positioning within an auditory canal of an ear includes a distal end configured for insertion within an external portion of the auditory canal and an at least substantially hollow stem region extending proximally from the distal end. The hollow stem may include at least one connection feature configured to interface with another component of an earbud headphone to removably retain the elastomeric component thereon. The elastomeric component may also include an outer portion extending proximally from the distal end and at least substantially surrounding at least a portion of the stem region. The outer portion may include an outer surface having an at least substantially circular cross-sectional shape in a plane perpendicular to a central axis of the elastomeric component. Earbud headphones may include such elastomeric components.

  • Patent number: 9467780
Abstract: A set of headphones designed to be used by DJ's for the purpose of mixing two or more music tracks being played from two or more audio playing devices. The headphones are configured such that a DJ can easily mute one headphone speaker so that the DJ can listen to a first music track that is being played through a sound system. At the same time, the headphones are configured to direct the complete stereo signal to the other headphone speaker so that the DJ can listen to the complete audio from a second music track. For example, when the DJ presses an audio control button, the set of headphones can automatically mute one of the speakers on the headphones, and automatically direct all of the stereo channels to the opposing speaker on the set of headphones.

  • Patent number: 6817068
Abstract: A variable length strap including at least one elastic cord, such as a shock or bungee cord, to adjustably secure an article to a wearer is disclosed. At least one cord lock may be provided on the elastic cord to assist with adjustment of strap length by being selectively slidable along or anchored to the cord. The length of the strap may be adjusted by selectively moving the cord lock along the elastic cord either towards or away from one side of the article. At least one end of the elastic cord may be secured to the cord lock. The elastic cord may also have at least one end secured to the article, or the elastic cord may be slidably mounted at a junction on the article. A guide may be provided on the elastic cord, with the elastic cord slidable through the guide. The guide may keep the first and second portions of the elastic cord separate from one another.
