Abstract: A method of facilitating wireless communications between a load controller device and a network component is described. The method can include the step of transitioning the load controller device from a peer-to-peer state in which the load controller device can receive initialization information to a provisioned state in which the load controller device connects to the network component using the initialization information. If there is a disruption in the connection between the load controller device and the network component in the provisioned state, the load controller device can be forced back to the peer-to-peer state from the provisioned state to enable the load controller device to receive new initialization information for reestablishment of the connection between the load controller device and the network component or for establishment of another connection between the load controller device and a different network component.

Abstract: Apparatus, systems, and methods disclosed herein may download one or more sets of presentation rendering property values (PRPVs) to a client processing device. Each set of PRPVs may be associated with a set of presentation characteristics of a sensory output device (SOD) used to present a multimedia presentation, a state of the SOD, or a state of a filter used to filter the presentation. A subset of PRPVs may be associated with a presentation element. A presentation page containing the presentation element may be assembled at a multi-rendered presentation server from a template, a set of controls, a view, and a dataset. The page may be assembled such that the set of PRPVs, acting upon the presentation element at the client processing device, is capable of rendering the presentation element for presentation at the SOD with a predetermined set of perceptual characteristics compatible with SOD presentation characteristics.

During operation, the system first receives the text string and then examines the text string to locate one or more substrings within the text string that are found in a speech library. Next, the system looks up speech files associated with the one or more substrings in the speech library. The system then concatenates these speech files to produce a speech output for a user.

Abstract: A system and method for enabling the use of temporary data in an XForms application without requiring the data to be included in the application's instance data. An XForms author includes an extension element in an XForms markup document. The extension element describes element and attributes of desired temporary instance data. The temporary data can be read and written as normal XForms instance data. The temporary data may or may not be serialized, depending on whether exposure to an external data consumer is or is not desired.
