  • Publication number: 20170050701
Abstract: A control device may be configured so as to be integrated, or coupled, with a bicycle to control bicycle components. The control device may also be integrated with other control devices and system components to control bicycle components. The control device may interface with electromechanically controlled bicycle components so as to trigger an action when actuated. The control device may be dimensioned so as to have a mating surface contoured to matingly engage with a mounting surface of a bicycle, such as on a handlebar. The control, device may also be dimensioned so as to have a compact and/or concealed appearance aided by a low profile relative to the bicycle mounting surface selected for the control device. The control device may be configured such that the control device is protected from, actuation from unintended or other user inputs.

  • Publication number: 20160148227
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus for automatically generating offers for expressions of interest are disclosed. In one aspect, a computer system comprising a network interface, computer memory, a computer processor, and a computer readable storage medium that stores program instructions configured for execution by the computer processor receives an expression of interest from a user device operated by a user. The computer system further analyzes the expression of interest to extract one or more expression characteristics. The computer system further retrieves, from memory, consumer data associated with the user, external data associated with the expression of interest, and internal data associated with one or more past offers previously generated by the computer system. The computer further generates a suggested offered based on the one or more expression characteristics and the retrieved consumer data, external data, and internal data. The computer further transmits the suggested offer to the user device.

  • Publication number: 20160027326
Abstract: An apparatus for teaching fine motor skills to a special needs student. The apparatus has a plurality of different personal life-skills training tools that more accurately replicate the skill encountered in real life. When the apparatus is arranged in its primary orientation and rests against the student's body, the life-skills training tools replicate the orientation of the objects relative to the orientation encountered by the student in real life. The apparatus includes a configurable platform having a plurality of walls. A plurality of hinges pivotally connect each wall with at least one other wall. The walls of the platform can be oriented and arranged in at least a first configuration forming a housing enclosing the training tools, and a second configuration wherein all of the walls are coplanar. The walls can also be oriented and arranged in at least a third configuration wherein none of the walls are coplanar.

  • Patent number: 8973273
Abstract: A chisel includes a blade and a first handle and second handle that are each rotatably coupled to the blade. The first handle forms a first channel adapted to receive a first side of the blade and the second handle forms a second channel adapted to receive a second side of the blade opposite the first side. The two handles are rotatable between an open and a closed position. In some cases, the two handles comprise a rotatable coupling such that the first handle and the second handle rotate with one another in opposite directions between the closed and open positions. The chisel further can have an over-center structure configured to impede rotation of the two handles from the closed toward the open position. In some cases, the two handles each form an interlocking component adapted to releasably couple the two handles when they are rotated to the open position.

  • Patent number: 8955827
Abstract: A tool configured to engage a work piece includes an elongated body portion and a generally U-shaped hook extending from a first end of the body portion. The generally U-shaped hook may have first and second leg portions and a bight portion connected between the leg portions. The tool is devoid of structure above the bight portion of the generally U-shaped hook, thus enabling a work piece to be received within the generally U-shaped configuration. The first leg portion includes a scraper edge terminating the generally U-shaped hook. The generally U-shaped hook also includes a pivot configured to translate a pulling of the body portion into a prying action against the work piece by the first leg portion.
