  • Patent number: 12000852
Abstract: A particle isolation apparatus 100 for isolating particles from a suspension sample, includes a droplet dispenser device 10 for collecting the suspension sample from a carrier substrate 20 and for dispensing droplets onto a target substrate 30, a mechanical pump device 40 being coupled with the droplet dispenser device 10 for loading a dilution liquid into the droplet dispenser device 10 and for aspirating a first portion of the suspension sample into the droplet dispenser device 10, and a syphon pump device 50 being coupled with the droplet dispenser device 10 and being arranged for aspirating a second portion of the suspension sample into the droplet dispenser device 10. Preferably, the droplet dispenser device 10 is configured for dispensing single particle droplets on the target substrate 30. Furthermore, a method of isolating particles from a suspension sample is described.

  • Publication number: 20230173519
Abstract: Imaging apparatus 10 for imaging nozzle section 21 of droplet dispenser device 20 includes illumination device 11 arranged for creating illumination light directed along illumination axis A1 towards an illumination range configured for accommodating nozzle section 21, and camera device 12 having imaging axis A2 directed to the illumination range. Camera device 12 is configured for collecting nozzle image(s) of nozzle section 21 arranged in the illumination range, wherein illumination device 11 and camera device 12 are arranged for dark field illumination of nozzle section 21. Illumination axis A1 and imaging axis A2 are slanted relative to each other and an illumination angle between axes A1 and A2 is selected such that the at least one nozzle image is collected with a dark background. Furthermore, dispenser apparatus 100 for dispensing droplets on a target and an imaging method for imaging nozzle section 21 of droplet dispenser device 20 are described.

  • Publication number: 20230173493
Abstract: An assay plate is provided. The assay plate has a body with a plurality of reservoirs formed therein. The reservoirs are shaped and aligned in the body in an orientation to induce drainage of fluids contained therein in a desired direction. A plate array and a funnel array forming an assembly for pooling of samples contained in the assay plate is also provided.

  • Patent number: 11446651
Abstract: A method and droplet dispenser for depositing single particles onto a target. For example, a single particle depositing method with improved rate of dispensing single particles and/or increased recovery of rare particles and/or with an extended applicability with different types of particles and/or operation conditions. The depositing method may be capable of increasing the rate of dispensing single cells without decreasing the recovery rate. Testing a single particle condition is combined with testing a zero particle condition and/or the particle type condition. The ejection and sedimentation regions are tested with regard to the presence of a single particle in the ejection, and further particle arrangements allowing a single particle deposition are identified and tested and/or the particle type detection is added to the dispenser control. Accordingly, the speed and recovery rate of dispensing single particles of interest can be improved.
