The reconfigurable sling has attached inner and outer portions that are configured to be at least partially detached and reattached with one another and has indicia thereon to assist in support placement. The reconfigurable wrist/hand orthosis may be supported by the reconfigurable sling when it is closed and may be permitted to exit the sling when the sling is opened while continuing support for the arm of the user.
