  • Publication number: 20190303170
Abstract: Systems and methods for initializing computing device bus lanes during boot are disclosed. According to an aspect, a method may be implemented at a processing module configured to operate when a computing device is not booted. The method includes determining, prior to the computing device being booted, a number of lanes for communication via a bus by the computing device. The method also includes initializing, during boot of the computing device, the lanes of the bus according to the determined number of lanes.

  • Publication number: 20150193683
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for assisting an expert to answer preexisting questions in a time efficient manner. The expert's data entry in a data entry system is detected by a unit, referred to herein as the “analyzer.” The analyzer searches a database or social media websites to identify questions that could possibly be answered using the expert's inputted data. Such questions may be identified using tag searching, keyword searching and/or natural language processing. The analyzer performs analytical analysis on these identified questions to assign a relevance factor to assess how relevant is the expert's inputted data in answering the question. For those questions whose relevance factor exceeds a threshold, those questions are presented to the expert in a list. In this manner, the expert does not have to spend time searching social media websites for applicable questions to answer.

  • Publication number: 20090064089
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for autonomic software price variation for virtualized applications of a computer program. The system includes a virtualization module that divides a software application into a plurality of discrete chunks an autonomic software price variation model that assigned a price to each of the plurality of discrete chunks, and a price update model that determines a number of downloads of each of the plurality of discrete chunks, wherein after a predetermined time period an updated price is computed for each of the plurality of discrete chunks. The present invention can also be viewed as a method that operates by dividing a software application into a plurality of discrete chunks, assigning a price to each of the plurality of discrete chunks, determining a number of downloads of each of the plurality of discrete chunks in a predetermined time period and computing an updated price for each of the plurality of discrete chunks.
