  • Patent number: 10585256
Abstract: A terminal for an optical fiber network includes a housing, a plurality of feeder cable adapters positioned in the housing, a plurality of distribution panel adapters positioned in the housing, and a bypass module positioned in the housing and including at least one bypass module adapter. A plurality of input optical fibers extend from at least one of the plurality of feeder cable adapters, into the main body of the bypass module, and to the at least one bypass module adapter. Additionally, a plurality of output optical fibers extend from the at least one bypass module adapter to at least one of the plurality of distribution panel adapters. The plurality of input optical fibers each optically couple to a single one of the plurality of output optical fibers within the at least one bypass module adapter.

  • Patent number: 10401586
Abstract: A fiber optic module for use in a fiber optic terminal. The fiber optic module includes a body having a front end, a first body section including a first group of adapters on the front end and a first fiber routing arm having a first fiber retaining element at a free end of the first routing arm, and a second body section in stacked alignment with the first body section, wherein the second body section includes a second group of adapters on the front end and a second fiber routing arm having a second fiber retaining element at a free end of the second routing arm. The first body section and the second body section define an internal volume containing an optical splitter. The fiber optic module may also include a handle coupleable to the first body section.

  • Publication number: 20190250350
Abstract: A fiber optic terminal includes an enclosure defining an interior space having a plurality module holders and at least one module removably positioned in one of the plurality of module holders. Each removable module may include at least one input adapter and a plurality of output adapters. Each removable module may also include one or more splitters, cable storage components, pass-through components, or parking components. The fiber optic module may also include first and second arms extending from the front side of the body and a handle coupled to the first and second arms. The handle may be rotatable between a closed position and an open position, and may also be removable from the first and second arms when the handle is in the open position.

  • Publication number: 20190196130
Abstract: A fiber optic splitter terminal for a fiber optic distribution network includes a terminal enclosure forming an interior compartment. At least one fiber optic adapter panel is disposed in the terminal enclosure, with a first side facing a first sub-compartment and a second side facing a second sub-compartment, to separate the interior compartment into two distinct areas. A first fiber optic adapter is disposed in the fiber optic adapter panel, and a plurality of second fiber optic adapters are also disposed in the fiber optic adapter panel. One or more splitter modules are disposed at least partially in the first sub-compartment, each comprising a splitter enclosure and a splitter disposed in the splitter enclosure, the splitter having an input leg configured to be optically connected to the first fiber optic adapter and a plurality of output legs optically configured to be connected to the second fiber optic adapters.
