Publication number: 20220061300Abstract: An insect capture device is used to monitor, capture, and/or kill insects. The device has a raised portion to create a gap between a surface and the device to entice insects to pass under. At the raised portion, a glue board includes an adhesive facing the surface. As the insect passes under the raised portion, the insect can unknowingly become attached to the adhesive portion and stuck thereto. To aid in installing the glue board, one or more sections of the glue board can be free of adhesive to connect or fit to a part of the device to hold the glue board in place, while also allowing for easy removal to replace the glue board with a new one, free of captured insects.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 31, 2021Publication date: March 3, 2022Inventors: Daniel Ronald Schwartz, Jonathan Lee Glawe, Magdalene Rose White, Joshua J. Lanz, Douglas B. Gardner, Larry Lake, Daniel Davis Anderson

Patent number: 10596535Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system for obtaining a solution from a solid product are disclosed. A solid product is housed in a dispenser. A liquid is introduced into the housing of the dispenser to interact with the solid product to form a solution. To control the concentration of the formed solution, the turbulence of the liquid introduced to the dispenser is controlled and adjusted either manually or on a real time basis to account for varying characteristics of either or both of the solid product and the liquid. The dispenser will adjust the turbulence based on the characteristics to maintain a formed solution within an acceptable range of concentration. The concentrated solution can then be discharged from the dispenser to an end use application.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 2018Date of Patent: March 24, 2020Assignee: Ecolab USA Inc.Inventors: Richard R. Carroll, John D. Morey, Andrew Schultz, Ryan Drake, John E. Thomas, Troy A. Anderson, Joshua J. Lanz

Patent number: 8511512Abstract: A chemical product dispenser that controls dispensation of a chemical product based on a change in weight of the chemical product remaining in the dispenser includes an isolation mechanism. The dispenser includes a weight measurement instrument, such as one or more load cells, that measure the weight of the chemical product remaining the dispenser. The isolation mechanism is configured to lift the chemical product from a lowered position in which the weight of the chemical product is fully supported by the load cell(s) to a raised position in which the weight of the chemical product is fully supported by the isolation mechanism. When in the raised position, the dispenser may be loaded with a supply of chemical product with a reduced risk of damage to the weight measurement instrument.Type: GrantFiled: January 7, 2010Date of Patent: August 20, 2013Assignee: Ecolab USA Inc.Inventors: Brian P. Carlson, Scott R. Limback, Joshua J. Lanz
