  • Patent number: 12265715
Abstract: An apparatus comprises a storage device and a device controller operatively coupled with the storage device. The device controller comprises a memory that stores an application. The application stored on the memory comprises instructions. When executed, the instruction direct the device controller to receive a storage request comprising content. The device controller retrieves a storage device policy from the memory that indicates a set of storage locations on the storage device. The device controller selects one of the storage locations on the storage device based on the storage device policy. The device controller stores the content on the storage device at the selected storage location. The device controller records storage information for the content that indicates the selected location on the memory.

  • Patent number: 12038993
Abstract: A performance monitoring system (PMS 102) displays a list of example URLs that matched a URL grouping rule used to group URLs. For a rule configured for a customer of the PMS, the example matched URLs are selected by the PMS from a candidate set of URLs identified from data associated with that customer. The PMS receives information identifying a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) grouping rule displayed in a graphical user interface (GUI). The PMS identified a list of candidate URLs occurring in the stored data. The PMS then identifies, from the list of candidate URLs, a set of matched URLs, the set of matched URLs including one or more URLs from the list of candidate URLs that matched the URL grouping rule. The PMS then causes at least one URL from the set of matched URLs to be displayed on the GUI.

  • Publication number: 20240236687
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure are directed to a supporting authentication between a computing platform and a computer that has an attached geolocation dongle. The attached geolocation dongle provides location information to the computer that is indicative of a current location of the computer, where the location information is obtained from RF signals generated from neighboring cell towers or the Global Positioning System. The computing platform may utilize the location information for authenticating the computer. Moreover, the location information may be encrypted by the geolocation dongle based on an encryption key known by the geolocation dongle and the computing platform. With another aspect, authentication is supported by a computer and an associated communication device that provides location information to the computer via a short-range communication channel.

  • Publication number: 20240223550
Abstract: An information-security process for enhanced user authentication is disclosed. In addition to username, password, dual-factor and/or other security, an authenticator is worn or carried on the person of a user. The authenticator can be detected to be within local range of a workstation and/or geolocated. If the authenticator corresponds to the user and the user's security information, and if the authenticator is in the correct range or location, access to the workstation can be authorized. Otherwise, it is rejected. Access can also be terminated automatically if the authenticator leaves the security range around the workstation or if a different user's authenticator enters the security range. Positional or range information can be determined by NFC, Bluetooth, BLE, RFID, Wi-Fi, triangulation, time-of-flight protocols/components distributed throughout work area(s) and/or embedded in workstation(s). Cooperative components working therewith are in the authenticator.

  • Patent number: 11907553
Abstract: In an embodiment, a storage device is provided. A device controller with a memory is coupled with the storage device. The memory stores an application with instructions that direct the controller to receive a storage device policy. The instructions further direct the controller to store content from a storage request in accordance with the storage device policy, and record storage information, including at least a content identifier, to the memory. Subsequent to storing the content, the instructions further direct the controller to retrieve the content according to the storage information received in a storage request. According to an implementation, the instructions further provide instruction to refuse a delete request in accordance with the storage information. According to an implementation, the instructions provide direction to store the storage information at a remote location.

  • Publication number: 20210018510
Abstract: The present invention discloses an unbiased “biomarker” method for the prediction of pregnancy success that is detectable in patient follicular fluid (FF) collected during egg retrieval in IVF procedures. Proteins that function in the cellular response to endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress were measured in FF, and data generated using a de-identified, retrospective, unblinded cohort of human FF and matching demographic and pregnancy outcome data showed that FF levels of ER stress effector proteins GRP78 and CHOP, which are indicative of elevated ER stress in either the oocyte, granulosa cells, or other cells of the follicle, are causally related to poor pregnancy outcomes.
