  • Publication number: 20250144622
Abstract: In biosciences and related fields, it can be useful to study cells in isolation so that cells having unique and desirable properties can be identified within a heterogenous mixture of cells. Processes and methods disclosed herein provide for encapsulating cells within a microfluidic device and assaying the encapsulated cells. Encapsulation can, among othere benefits, facilitate analyses of cells that generate secretions of interest which would otherwise rapidly diffuse away or mix with the secretions of other cells.

  • Publication number: 20250143713
Abstract: A method includes inserting a contact member into an anatomical cavity. The contact member is rotated within the anatomical cavity through a first range of angular motion and engages tissue of the anatomical cavity during such rotation, such that rotation of the contact member within the anatomical cavity through the first range of angular motion causes torsional deformation of the anatomical cavity. The contact member is moved longitudinally through a first range of longitudinal motion after rotating the contact member within the anatomical cavity through the first range of angular motion, thereby causing longitudinal deformation of the anatomical cavity. A position of the contact member is secured relative to the tissue, thereby maintaining the torsional and longitudinal deformation of the tissue.

  • Publication number: 20250150092
Abstract: A system and method for accelerating applications in closed networks through intelligent compression and routing. The system includes a flow analysis system that classifies network traffic as latency-critical or bandwidth-critical, enabling optimized handling of different flow types. Latency-critical flows are transmitted directly to minimize delay, while bandwidth-critical flows undergo compression using dynamically selected methods including Huffman, alphabetic, and Tunstall coding. The system maintains synchronized codebooks across network nodes while enabling node-specific optimizations based on local traffic patterns. A network topology manager maintains comprehensive network state awareness, enabling intelligent route selection based on flow classification and current conditions. The system continuously monitors performance and adapts compression and routing strategies in real-time.

  • Publication number: 20250146902
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for inspection, under a microscope, of end connectors of fiber optic cables are provided. In one aspect, a light ring including a circular array of light sources provides darkfield illumination to an end connector being inspected under a microscope. Each of the light sources may be lit in series and the resulting shadows may be used to identify dirt on the end connector, as well as to determine whether any dirt identified on the end connector can be cleaned off. In another aspect, a light ring combined with a redirection ring (e.g., a reflector and/or refractor ring) may provide darkfield illumination. In yet another aspect, a series of images may be captured and analyzed to automatically identify dirt on the end connector, as well as to determine whether any identified dirt can be cleaned off.

  • Publication number: 20250148661
Abstract: Systems and methods for reconstructing medical images based on motion estimation are disclosed. Measurement data from positron emission tomography (PET) measurement data, and modality measurement data from an anatomy modality, such as computed tomography (CT) data, is received from an image scanning system. A trained deep learning process is applied to the PET measurement data and the modality measurement data to generate displacement vector field (DVF) data characterizing motion between the PET measurement data and the modality measurement data. A modality image is reconstructed from the modality measurement data, and the modality image is adjusted based on the DVF data. A PET image is then reconstructed from the PET measurement data and the adjusted modality image, and the PET image is adjusted based on a computed inverse of the DVF data. The adjusted PET image and the modality image spatially match, and are displayed.
