Patent number: 11141841Abstract: A folding flex ratchet having a handle that is joined to a ratchet head by an offset hinge that allows the handle to be selectively folded between an extended position for applying greater torque and a folded position in which the ratchet operates in spaces where access is minimal, somewhat like a palm ratchet. The ratchet head may include a generally L-shaped neck that provides an offset handle connection point that is offset in two directions from the ratchet head, both rearwardly and longitudinally. The handle, ratchet head and offset hinge are configured so that, when in the folded position, the handle is approximately centered over the ratchet head and the handle extends substantially parallel to the ratchet head.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 2019Date of Patent: October 12, 2021Assignee: TEKTON, INC.Inventors: John A. Amash, Joshua L. Harrison, Kramer A. Doyle

Patent number: 9809345Abstract: A point-of-sale paperboard package having spaced-apart support rails that support packaged article(s), and a top closure affixed to the support rails by packaged article(s). The top closure may include retaining flaps secured to the support rails by packaged article(s) extending through the support rails and the retaining flaps. The top closure may include a hanging tab allowing the package to be suspended from a hanging hook at a point of sale. The support rails and top closure may be defined by consecutive panels folded into a rectangular shape. The top closure may be folded into the space between the support rails to prevent the support rails from unfolding. The retaining flaps may extend from the top closure into the hollow interior of the support rails. The support rails and retaining flaps may define article receiving openings to facilitate insertion of packaged articles. The package may include a bottom closure.Type: GrantFiled: July 17, 2015Date of Patent: November 7, 2017Assignee: Tekton, Inc.Inventors: Joshua L. Harrison, Matthew A. Johnson

Publication number: 20160271786Abstract: A screwdriver handle configured to provide optimal performance when used in certain handholds to provide high-torque turning with two hands, normal turning with a single hand or low-torque, repetitive turning with two hands. The handle includes a forward zone that is generally circular in cross-section, a central zone that is generally triangular in cross section and has an arrangement of progressive stepped regions and a rear zone that combines a generally cylindrical region with a domed end. The forward zone may in profile follow a shallow somewhat hourglass-like shape. The central zone includes at least two stepped regions that generally increase in diameter toward the rear of the handle. The rear stepped region may be convex having an apex forward of the rear zone. The generally cylindrical region of the rear zone may taper down toward the rear of the handle. The domed end may be a semi-spherical dome.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 16, 2015Publication date: September 22, 2016Inventors: Joshua L. Harrison, Benjamin E. Harrison
