  • Patent number: 11767097
Abstract: A general mounting method for ducted fan propulsors is disclosed. This mounting method uses extremely slender stators that connect the duct ring to the propulsor which is mounted in the middle and drives the rotor, fan or propeller. The slender stators take the form of spokes and as such are so slender that the midspan stresses within the spokes are dominated by axial tension loads rather than the shear loads experienced by conventional stators. The spokes may have an aerodynamic shape and damping methods may be used to retard spoke vibrations and transmission of engine vibrations to the duct and force. The duct itself is also stiffened by the spoke arrangement, thereby reducing low frequency vibration modes.

  • Publication number: 20230235644
Abstract: The disclosure presents processes to improve the calibration of adjustable choke valves corresponding to a specific size of positive choke bean. Typically, manufacturers specify a position of the adjustable choke valve that corresponds to a specific choke bean size. Hydrocarbon fluid conditions and composition vary and subterranean formation characteristics vary which can lead to errors in the calibration. By comparing flow rate parameters of the hydrocarbon fluid flowing through the adjustable choke manifold and the positive choke manifold, errors in calibration can be detected and corrected. The factors involved with the hydrocarbon fluid and the error correction can be used to update a choke model. The choke model can then be used for future calibrations of the adjustable choke valve.

  • Publication number: 20230103975
Abstract: An injector includes a push rod, a magazine tube, a gate, a cannula and an actuator. The magazine tube has a lumen extending from an inlet to an outlet thereof. The magazine tube slidingly receives at least one implant therein. The gate has a closed configuration in which it covers the outlet of the magazine tube and an open configuration in which it does not cover the outlet of the magazine tube. The cannula has a distal end configured to be inserted into an eye. A lumen of the cannula is in fluid communication with the lumen of the magazine tube when the gate is in the open configuration.
