  • Patent number: 11594221
Abstract: A method may include obtaining first audio data originating at a first device during a communication session between the first device and a second device. The method may also include obtaining a first text string that is a transcription of the first audio data, where the first text string may be generated using automatic speech recognition technology using the first audio data. The method may also include obtaining a second text string that is a transcription of second audio data, where the second audio data may include a revoicing of the first audio data by a captioning assistant and the second text string may be generated by the automatic speech recognition technology using the second audio data. The method may further include generating an output text string from the first text string and the second text string and using the output text string as a transcription of the speech.

  • Publication number: 20190135750
Abstract: A method for producing an aromatic bisimide includes reacting a dialkali metal salt of a dihydroxy aromatic compound with a reactive substituted phthalimide under conditions effective to form a product mixture, introducing the product mixture to a liquid-liquid extraction column including an aqueous alkali metal hydroxide solution, and recovering from the liquid-liquid extraction column a purified aromatic bisimide having less than 500 ppm of residual dialkali metal salt of the dihydroxy aromatic compound, the corresponding dihydroxy aromatic compound, the corresponding mono-substituted salt of the dihydroxy aromatic compound, or a combination including at least one of the foregoing. A method for the manufacture of a polyetherimide from an aromatic bisimide prepared by the above method is also disclosed. A polyetherimide having less than 100 ppb of residual bisphenol A and an article made therefrom are also described.

  • Patent number: 7915332
Abstract: This invention relates to organic salt compositions useful in the preparation of organoclay compositions, polymer-organoclay composite compositions, and methods for the preparation of polymer nanocomposites. In one embodiment, the present invention provides an organoclay composition comprising alternating inorganic silicate layers and organic layers, said organic layers comprising a quaternary phosphonium cation having structure X wherein Ar1, Ar2, and Ar3 are independently C2-C50 aromatic radicals; Ar4 is a bond or a C2-C50 aromatic radical; ā€œaā€ is a number from 1 to about 200; ā€œcā€ is a number from 0 to 3; R1 is independently at each occurrence a halogen atom, a C1-C20 aliphatic radical, a C5-C20 cycloaliphatic radical, or a C2-C20 aromatic radical; and R2 is a halogen atom, a C1-C20 aliphatic radical, a C5-C20 cycloaliphatic radical, a C2-C50 aromatic radical, or a polymer chain.
