Abstract: A system for transcription is controlled and optimized by computer software which implements a competitive market for jobs is presented. Jobs are characterized by type, deadline, domain, difficulty, pay rate, customer and other factors. Editors are given credentials to perform jobs based on a complex of editor and job characteristics, and all editors qualified for a given job may then perform actions to preview and to claim the job. Job characteristics are adjusted dynamically to ensure that they are completed accurately and according to schedule.

Abstract: An infrared (IR) temperature sensor includes a detector element, a wireless communication element, a memory, and a processor. The detector element detects IR radiation emitted from an object and generates an electrical signal proportional to the detected IR radiation. The memory is configured to store command instructions. The processor is operably connected to the detector element, the wireless communication element, and the memory. The processor is configured to execute the command instructions to transform the electrical signal into an output signal proportional to a temperature of the object and transmit the output signal with the wireless communication element. The IR sensor further includes a body that encloses the detector element, the wireless communication element, the memory, and the processor. The body defines an aperture that extends between the detector element and a mounting surface of the body and faces the object.

Abstract: According to at least one embodiment, a system for generating a plurality of caption frames is provided. The system comprises a memory storing a plurality of elements generated from transcription information, at least one processor coupled to the memory, and a caption engine component executed by the at least one processor. The caption engine component is configured to identify at least one element sequence as meeting predetermined criteria specifying a plurality of caption characteristics, the at least one element sequence including at least one element of the plurality of elements, and store the at least one element sequence within at least one caption frame. The at least one element sequence may correspond to at least one sentence. The transcription information may be time-coded.

Abstract: A system for creating synchronized content is provided. The system includes a memory, at least one processor coupled to the memory, and a synchronization engine component executable by the at least one processor. The synchronization engine component is configured to locate a media file associated with synchronization information; locate at least one clip derived from the media file; generate a reference template representative of the media file; generate a derived content template representative of the at least one clip; align the derived content template with the reference template to create alignment information; and generate the synchronized content based on the at least one clip, the alignment information, and the synchronization information.

Abstract: A system for delivering transcription products is provided. The system includes a memory, a processor coupled to the memory, a customer interface component, an automatic speech recognition component, an editor interface component, and a delivery agent component. The customer interface component is configured to receive transcription request information identifying at least one media file, the at least one media file including content. The automatic speech recognition component is configured to generate draft transcription information that represents a draft transcription of the content. The editor interface component is configured to generate edited transcription information that represents an edited transcription of the content. The delivery agent component is configured to evaluate delivery criteria to determine whether to deliver a transcription product and transmit the transcription product in response to determining that the delivery criteria is satisfied.

Abstract: A system and method for adjusting the ignition timing of an engine. The system includes a strobe device in communication with a wireless clamp. The wireless clamp sends a firing signal of a spark plug of an engine to the strobe device and the strobe device synchronously strobes an LED with the signal. The user can use the strobe light to view markings on the engine in relation to an indicator to determine whether the ignition timing of the engine needs to be adjusted.

The base member and the cover member each have a plurality of apertures defined in adjacent side walls that allow the horizontal latch arm to extend through the assembly. The base member and the cover member also include a second plurality of cooperating apertures whereby the base member and the cover member may be locked together by use of a padlock. In a first preferred embodiment, each cover side wall includes a tab and tab-receiving apertures are defined within the base member. The tabs require that the cover be lifted vertically prior to rotation of the cover member about the base member.

Abstract: A system and method for adjusting the ignition timing of an engine. The system includes a strobe device in communication with a wireless clamp. The wireless clamp sends a firing signal of a spark plug of an engine to the strobe device and the strobe device synchronously strobes an LED with the signal. The user can use the strobe light to view markings on the engine in relation to an indicator to determine whether the ignition timing of the engine needs to be adjusted.
