  • Patent number: 11693941
Abstract: A system and method for providing multi-factor authentication for access through a door, but without the user having to repeat a physical act of providing authentication every time that the door is opened, wherein the first time through the door, multi-factor authentication is provided to the access control system, and wherein each subsequent access through the door, multi-factor authentication is performed automatically and without intervention of the user as long as the user has a wearable device providing at least one factor of the multi-factor authentication, and the user has not removed the wearable device since the multi-factor authentication was last provided to the access control system.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 11025480
Abstract: A system and method for identifying weaknesses in a wireless network, wherein a wireless network control system exercises a wireless network by transmitting a large volume of data between nodes in order to identify network weaknesses and communication bottlenecks, wherein the wireless network control system is automated so that it may perform identification of network problems without user intervention, and wherein the wireless network control system may make suggestions as to how the network weaknesses and communication bottlenecks may be repaired.

  • Patent number: 10420012
Abstract: A system and method for optimizing performance of a network by creating a database of the time that a packet takes to be transmitted from one node to a next adjacent node, and uses that database to calculate a new default Unicast timeout period, wherein if an acknowledgement is not received from a destination node within the default Unicast timeout period, then the packet may be retransmitted in a period of time that is optimized and not dependent on waiting for a standard Unicast timeout period to expire, and wherein a system and method also includes replacing the use of broadcast messages to learn the status of nodes on a network by creating a self-forming and self-correcting dynamic network by compiling a database of all known paths through a network, rating all known paths so that if the best route is blocked, the next best route can be substituted for it to enable a date packet to have the fastest path back to a source.

  • Publication number: 20160098873
Abstract: A system and method for implementing an improved physical access control system that may be installed as a new system, installed to upgrade an existing system, or installed to expand an existing system, wherein a door access control system may include a new central processing appliance that may be implemented in software to thereby remove dependence upon hardware, enable implementation as a virtual machine, enable implementation in the cloud to thereby increase access, may include a central I/O controller for the central processing appliance and a new remote I/O controller at each door for handling communications, and wherein the remote I/O controllers may also provide wireless network functionality to enable wireless expansion and improved data integrity of the system.
