  • Patent number: 8180916
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a framework for traffic classification that bridges the gap between the packet content inspection and the flow-based behavioral analysis techniques. In particular, IP packets and/or IP flows are used as an input, network nodes are associated to specific network applications by leveraging information gathered from the web, and packet content signatures are extracted in an off-line fashion using clustering and signature extraction algorithms. The signatures learned are systematically exported to a traffic classifier that uses the newly available signatures to classify applications on-the-fly.

  • Patent number: 8138443
Abstract: A sealing system includes two fittings, a compliant member, and a spring. The first fitting has two ends, a first cavity, and a first channel. The first channel extends from the first end to the first cavity, which is formed in the second end radially inwardly from an outer surface of the first fitting. The second fitting is disposed in the first cavity and has two ends, a second cavity, and a second channel. The first end is disposed in the first cavity, the second cavity is formed in the first end of the second fitting, and the second channel extends from the second cavity to the second end. The compliant member is disposed in the second cavity. The spring is disposed in the second cavity against the compliant member.

  • Publication number: 20110223991
Abstract: Disclosed are methods, apparatus, and systems implementing techniques for using a central determination system with multi-play gaming machines having sub-games and with gaming machines having a base game and a bonus game. A seed value is provided for each of the games (i.e., each of the sub-games or the base game and the bonus game). This ensures that all possible game outcomes may be displayed for each of the games.

  • Publication number: 20100327171
Abstract: The present invention provides an innovative solid-state neutron detector that exhibits superior neutron-sensitivities. One embodiment of the present invention includes a Gadolinium-oxide (Gd2O3)-based neutron detector that is highly sensitive to the presence of neutrons, and experiences significant changes in film conductivity, capacitance or both as a result of thermal neutron exposure thereby providing for detection of nuclear radiation.

  • Publication number: 20090256010
Abstract: A new particulate spray system nozzle design for the spraying of an interior diameter of tubular components or confined spaces is provided. The nozzle includes a substantially linear input section and a substantially linear output section. The input section includes an inlet adapted for coupling to a heated gas supply line for the input of a heated gas. The input section has a longitudinal axis and an inner diameter for the passage therethrough of the heated gas. The output section is in fluidic communication with the input section and includes an outlet adapted for discharging a particulate spray toward a target surface. The output section has a longitudinal axis extending substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the input section and an inner diameter for the passage therethrough of the particulate spray.

  • Publication number: 20070175874
Abstract: An automated welding system is provided for welding a workpiece. The system includes a multiaxially movable arm, a fiber optic cable, a laser source, a focusing head, a focus lens, and a shield. The fiber optic cable is coupled to the arm. The laser source is coupled to the fiber optic cable and configured to supply laser light thereto. The focusing head includes a first end, a second end, and a passage extending therebetween. The shield has an inlet, an outlet and a cavity formed therebetween, and each of the inlet and the outlet has a diameter. The shield inlet is coupled to the focusing head and the shield inlet diameter is greater than the shield outlet diameter. The shield outlet diameter is sized to provide an opening through which the laser beam exits and prevents substantially all particles external to the focusing head passage from entering therein.
