  • Publication number: 20260146872
Abstract: Methods and systems relating to deformable optical waveguides and forming them into an optical network. The optical network is formed from a plurality of optical waveguides that are bendable and stretchable using a plurality of I/O terminals. Each I/O terminal is switchable from an active light source, which provides light to the optical network, and an active light detector. The optical network may comprise two or more optical junctions. The optical junctions are formed from the optical waveguides, and the optical junctions split light pulses received into the optical junction to form multiple pathways between the I/O terminals. As light pulses pass through deformed segments of the optical network, the light experiences changes in amplitude and time-of-flight, which can be measured to determine the movement of an item monitored by the optical network.

  • Publication number: 20250134743
Abstract: Methods and systems of supporting a patient's head wherein a head support is attached to the head. The head support is connected to an adjustment system, which is configured to move the head support. There is a processor is configured to receive the position signals from sensors, determine adjustments to be made to the head support, and send adjustment signals to the adjustment system so that the head support is adjusted in accordance with the determined adjustments.

  • Publication number: 20190287198
Abstract: A tool for planning and management of clinical trials. The tool computes a patient enrollment timeline in a clinical trial using multiple factors that bear on the rate of patient enrollment. The factors may be site-dependent factors or may be country-dependent factors. When these factors are applied, different sites may have different rates of enrollment in the same interval. Further, the factors may be time dependent such that even the same sites may have different enrollment rates in different intervals. Once the timeline is created, the tool may use it to calculate a schedule of monitor visits, project trial completion or otherwise generate output used in management of the clinical trial.
