  • Publication number: 20230271562
Abstract: A bicycle carrier is provided with an integrated work stand to support a bicycle during maintenance or repair. The integrated work stand may be used when the bicycle carrier is in a non-use configuration. The non-use configuration may also comprise a storage configuration for the bicycle carrier. The integrated work stand may retract into the bicycle carrier. The integrated work stand may include an arm with a clamp mechanism at one end of the arm. The bicycle carrier may include a locking mechanism to lock the integrated work stand in place with respect to the bicycle carrier. Integrated work stands having jaws may capture the frame of a bicycle in the jaws.

  • Publication number: 20230192340
Abstract: A rotary filling machine for filling containers with bridgeable dry materials includes a turret supporting a plurality of circumferentially spaced drop buckets and a plurality of funnel assemblies located under the drop buckets. A stationary slide plate is located vertically between the funnel assemblies and the drop buckets. The slide plate is configured such that flow paths from the bottoms of the drop buckets to the inlet openings of the funnel assemblies increase progressively in at least a portion of a circumferential extent of the slide plate. Drop buckets are located above the slide plate and rotate with the turret. Each drop bucket is provided with one or more partitions that hinder the “snow-plowing of particles” along the edge of the associated fill opening in the machine’s fill plate rather than the sweeping of those particles into the fill opening.

  • Publication number: 20220267041
Abstract: A rotary filling machine includes a rotatable fill plate with fill openings defined therein, a plurality of circumferentially spaced drop buckets mounted above the fill plate and configured to rotate with the fill plate, and a rotating mounting plate mounted on top of the fill plate and disposed below the drop buckets. Each drop bucket includes an inner radial wall, an outer radial wall, a first sidewall, and a second sidewall surrounding a volume bounded by top and bottom openings. A coupler for each drop bucket includes a first connector, such as a socket, extending from an outer surface of the inner radial wall and a mating connector, such as a post, extending upwardly from the mounting ring. A plurality of ridges or protrusions are formed on a side surface of at least one of the walls to reduce the planar surface area available for adhesion to materials being dispensed.

  • Publication number: 20220055544
Abstract: An equipment rack for use with a vehicle is described having a sliding member translatably attached to a lower cross member of the rack. The sliding member translates outwardly from the rack to a loading and unloading position. In the loading and unloading position, sports equipment may be placed on or removed from the sliding member. When the sports equipment has been loaded the sliding member may be translated back toward the rack into a stowed position. In the stowed position an upper cross member may be clamped to the lower cross member to secure the sports equipment on the rack.

  • Publication number: 20210323707
Abstract: A rotary filling machine for filling containers with bridgeable dry materials includes a turret supporting a plurality of circumferentially spaced drop buckets and a plurality of funnel assemblies located under the drop buckets. A stationary slide plate is located vertically between the funnel assemblies and the drop buckets. When viewed in a direction of turret rotation, the slide plate has an upstream end, a downstream end, and inner and outer edges. A portion of the slide plate is tapered progressively in diameter toward its downstream end such that flow paths from the bottoms of the drop buckets to the inlet openings of the funnel assemblies increase progressively in diameter with the taper of the slide plate. Also provided is a funnel assembly and drop buckets provided with one more partitions that hinder the “snow-plowing of particles” along the edge of the associated fill opening in machine's fill plate rather than the sweeping of those particles into the fill opening.

  • Patent number: 11077804
Abstract: A rack is described for securing equipment, such as a kayak, to a vehicle. The rack has a base member, a support member, and a hinge assembly that pivotally connects the support member to the base member. The rack may be folded from an open configuration to a closed configuration. A handle or actuator on the base member may be operated to engage or disengage a latch mechanism to allow the hinge assembly to pivot or to be fixed to control the movement of the support member between desired positions in relation to the base member. The latch mechanism may comprise a shuttle assembly.

  • Patent number: 10781008
Abstract: A rotary cup filler has a cup holder plate that permits cup holders to be retained in place by inserting them into open-ended receptacles from the side of the cup holder plate rather than being inserted into openings in the bottom cup holder plate from beneath. In one configuration, the cup holder plate has a central hub and plurality of arms that extend arcuately from the central hub to form the receptacles therebetween. The arms may engage opposed sides of a circumferential groove in the associated cup holder.

  • Publication number: 20190108103
Abstract: Computing device file system change detection and change replication methods and systems are described herein. In one embodiment, the change detection is accomplished by comparing two master file tables of two different versions of the same file system and inferring file system name space change, file system metadata change and file data change. The method includes creating a file system name space change log and file data change log for any objects associated with the changes to the file system. The method also includes replicating these change logs to the replication server and applying the change logs to the data store on replication server.

  • Publication number: 20150310484
Abstract: Methods and systems for tracking a user's engagement with an object on an electronic page, such as an ad, are provided. An electronic page have an associated ad is loaded in an application, such as a browser or another native application, on a user computing device. The user computing device determines whether the user is actively engaged with the electronic page while the ad is in view on the display of the user computing device. When a reporting condition is met, the user computing device transmits data representing the result of the determinations obtained over a reporting period to an external computing device. The functionalities for tracking the user's active engagement with the ad can be provided by an ad-tracking code embedded in a webpage retrieved from a publisher's website, or by a component or module of a native application installed on the user computing device.

  • Patent number: 9037873
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for monitoring a software agent running in a virtual machine to prevent execution of the software agent from being tampered with. In one embodiment, the software agent bootstraps such monitoring by ensuring that its code is present in memory and providing the code, memory addresses associated with the code, and a cryptographic signature of the code, to a monitoring process upon request. In response to receiving the code, the monitoring process checks the code using the cryptographic signatures and further ensures that the code is present in memory at the provided address. The monitoring process may then placing write traces on all memory pages of the agent and execution trace(s) on certain pages of the agent. By tracking writes to and execution of the respective pages, the monitoring process may determine whether the agent has been modified and whether the agent is still running.
