Abstract: A cap for optical illumination on a container can include a top portion and a base portion having a curved outer surface. The base portion can have a channel formed on at least a part of said curved outer surface. The cap can include a light-emitting diode (LED) electronically connected to circuitry within the cap. The cap can include a light pipe in optical communication with the LED configured to direct light from the LED through the portion of the top portion defined by the light pipe. The cap can include a sensor configured to detect changes in ambient illumination and the LED can turn off when sensor detects the ambient illumination is low.
