  • Patent number: 10426306
Abstract: A brushbar including: a body having a channel extending in the longitudinal direction and a retaining feature provided along each side of the channel and spaced away from a bottom, wherein a depth of the channel decreases in the longitudinal direction of the channel; an agitator element that includes a flexible strip and an agitator, wherein the flexible strip is disposed in the channel and extends between each retaining feature and the bottom of the channel such that the retaining features retain the flexible strip in the channel and the agitator extends radially from the channel; and a shim disposed between the flexible strip and the bottom of the channel such that the flexible strip abuts each retaining feature, wherein a thickness profile of the shim decreases in the longitudinal direction by an amount corresponding to the decrease in the depth of the channel.
