  • Publication number: 20160178780
Abstract: Systems and methods for antenna transmitter health determinations and borehole compensation for an electromagnetic measurement tools are provided. The input current to an antenna transmitter of an electromagnetic measurement tool may be measured using a current measurement circuit. An output voltage proportional to the input current may be provided and compared to a threshold to determine the health of the antenna transmitter. A replacement borehole compensation matrix for calculating a combined attenuation measurement may be selected based on an identified unhealthy antenna transmitter.

  • Patent number: 9116250
Abstract: A radiation detector includes a housing to contain a radiation detecting gas. The housing has a first thermal expansion over an operating temperature range. An elongate electrode extends within the housing and has opposing first and second ends, with the first end secured to adjacent portion of the housing. The elongate electrode has second thermal expansion over the operating temperature range defining a difference with respect to the first thermal expansion. A temperature compensator is coupled between the second end of the elongate electrode and an adjacent portion of the housing. The temperature compensator has a third thermal expansion over the operating temperature range to maintain a tension on the elongate electrode within a desired range over the operating temperature range.

  • Patent number: 7733093
Abstract: An induction or propagation apparatus for performing measuring the tensor resistivity of a sample of matter includes a non-conductive, generally cylindrical tubular member adapted to receive the matter therein, a triaxial transmitter, at least one triaxial receiver, and an electronic module. The electronic module is adapted to energize the triaxial transmitter, control acquisition of signals by the at least one triaxial receiver, and perform anisotropic measurements and analysis. The triaxial transmitter and the at least one triaxial receiver are disposed on the generally cylindrical tubular member in axial spaced relationship.
