  • Patent number: 12214881
Abstract: Secondary barriers for aircraft are disclosed. An example secondary barrier includes a plurality of tracks to mount to a first monument in a cabin of an aircraft and a plurality of rods, where respective ones of the rods slidably engage respective ones of the tracks. The secondary barrier includes a panel coupled to respective ends of the rods. The rods to move relative to the tracks between a stowed position and a deployed position. The panel in the deployed position is to interface with a second monument in the cabin opposite the first monument. The rods are to extend between the first monument and the second monument when the secondary barrier is in the deployed position.

  • Publication number: 20240336370
Abstract: A secondary barrier system for an aircraft includes a secondary barrier gate including a telescoping structure is disclosed. The secondary barrier gate may include a plurality of crossmembers, and at least one of the plurality of crossmembers may include a panel treatment. The secondary barrier gate is rotatable between a stowed position and a deployed position and extendable between a retracted length and an extended length. The secondary barrier gate is securable in the stowed position and the deployed position. The secondary barrier gate may be rotatably mounted to a ceiling or within a crown area of the aircraft. The secondary barrier system may also include a stowage latch actuatable to selectively release and/or secure the secondary barrier gate from/in a stowed position and a deployment latch actuatable to selectively release and/or secure the secondary barrier gate from/in one of a retracted length or an extended length.

  • Patent number: 9053477
Abstract: A mobile communication device is disclosed. The disclosed mobile communication device performs corresponding identity (ID) and data verification processing on a server through a smart chip and comprises a wireless communication unit, a smart chip, and a processing unit. The smart chip is configured to store ID verification information. The processing unit is electrically connected to the smart chip and the wireless communication unit. When the processing unit runs a transaction procedure, the processing unit accesses the ID verification information from the smart chip. The processing unit also drives the wireless communication unit to send the ID verification information to the server and requests the server to perform an ID verification procedure, so as to determine whether the transaction procedure is valid. Additionally, when the transaction procedure is invalid, the processing unit cancels the transaction procedure.
