  • Publication number: 20250361627
Abstract: Electrochemistry is used to generate active nitrating species from nitrate salt in situ in an aprotic solvent to eliminate acidic and/or toxic waste streams associated with the production of energetic materials. The systems/methods perform alcohol nitration without using nitric acid and/or sulfuric acid. As a result, the systems/methods may be operated under milder conditions (e.g., room temperature and ambient pressure). In addition, the disclosed systems/methods offer high product selectivity via controlling electrolysis potential. The electrochemical synthetic method is scalable, highly amenable to continuous processing and can make use of inexpensive feedstocks, making the systems/methods well-suited to large-scale manufacture.

  • Publication number: 20250328012
Abstract: A system may include a radar-based tracking system, an image-based tracking system, one or more processors, and one or more computer-readable recording media that store instructions that are executable by the one or more processors to configure the system to: (i) obtain, via the radar-based tracking system, radar-based measurement data; (ii) utilize the radar-based measurement data as input to an event detection module to generate event detection output; and (iii) when the event detection output satisfies one or more conditions, selectively activate the image-based tracking system to enable acquisition of image-based tracking data to facilitate positional tracking of an object.

  • Patent number: 11286489
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a composition that includes an amphiphile, its use in a method of preventing and/or treating cancer, and its use in a method of producing a pharmaceutical composition. In certain embodiments, the amphiphile includes a hydrophilic peptide that binds to a Plenty of SH3 domain (POSH) and inhibits or disrupts a POSH scaffold network, a hydrophobic moiety, and an aptamer. The present invention is also directed to other POSH inhibitor complex biomolecules that do not contain a hydrophobic moiety.
