  • Publication number: 20240116809
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method of thermal treatment of air-dispersible raw material, especially cement raw meal and/or mineral products, wherein the raw material is introduced into a conduit through which hot gases flow and is subjected to thermal treatment by the hot gases and/or the radiant heat in the conduit, fuel is at least partly converted in a treatment region, and the heat generated in the treatment region is supplied at least partly to the conduit, and an oxygen-rich gas is introduced into the treatment region, wherein the oxygen content in the hot gas and/or the gas temperature is ascertained and the amount of oxygen introduced into the treatment region is adjusted by open-loop or closed-loop control depending on the temperature ascertained and/or the oxygen content.

  • Patent number: 11878950
Abstract: Processes and plants for producing cement clinker, in which an oxygen-containing gas having a proportion of 15% by volume or less of nitrogen and a proportion of 50% by volume or more of oxygen is conveyed from a first section of the cooler directly adjoining the top of the furnace into the rotary furnace and is optionally additionally conveyed to the calciner, and where the total gas streams fed in to the combustion processes consist to an extent of more than 50% by volume (preferably more than 85% by volume) of oxygen.

  • Patent number: 11820718
Abstract: Processes and plants for producing cement clinker, wherein no recirculation of preheater exhaust gases occurs and the ratio of solid fed in to exhaust gas in the preheater is set to greater than 1.0 kg of solid to gas.

  • Publication number: 20230175778
Abstract: An installation for thermal treatment of free-floating raw material, in particular cement raw meal and/or mineral products, may include a riser line through which hot gases can flow. The riser line has at least one fuel inlet for introducing fuel into the riser line. The riser line has at least one raw meal inlet for introducing raw meal into the riser line, which raw meal inlet is arranged upstream of the fuel inlet in a flow direction of gas inside the riser line. Further, a method for thermal treatment of free-floating raw material may involve introducing fuel via a fuel inlet into a riser line for guiding hot gases and introducing raw meal into the riser line. The raw meal is introduced into the riser line upstream of the fuel inlet in the flow direction.

  • Publication number: 20230152037
Abstract: A cement production plant may include a preheater for preheating raw meal, a calciner for calcining the preheated raw meal, and a furnace with a furnace burner for firing the raw meal to form cement clinker. The furnace has a combustion gas inlet for admitting a combustion gas with an oxygen content of 30% to 75% into the furnace. The cement production plant may also include a cooler for cooling the cement clinker. The calciner and the furnace each have at least one respective fuel inlet for admitting at least one fuel into the calciner and the furnace. The calciner and the furnace each have at least one respective inert gas inlet for respectively admitting inert gas into the calciner and the furnace.

  • Publication number: 20220316800
Abstract: An apparatus for thermal treatment of mineral materials may include a first combustion chamber, a second combustion chamber, and a reactor for the thermal treatment of mineral materials. The first combustion chamber is configured for burning a first fuel fed by a first fuel feed device, and the first combustion chamber and the second combustion chamber are connected via a first conduit for transferring hot gases from the first combustion chamber into the second combustion chamber. The second combustion chamber is configured for burning a second fuel that is different than the first fuel and is fed by a second fuel feed device. The second combustion chamber and the reactor are connected via a second conduit for transferring hot gases from the second combustion chamber into the reactor. The reactor has a third feed conduit for introducing a third fuel.

  • Publication number: 20220032316
Abstract: A method for processing material that contains cement rock may involve comminuting the material in a first comminuting device, feeding the material to a reactor in which the material is mixed with an aqueous liquid and CO2 and in which a mixing movement of the material is generated, and removing the material from the reactor and subdividing the material into at least two fractions by way of a classifying device. The temperature and the pressure in the reactor are maintained such that the pressure exceeds atmospheric pressure and such that the temperature is greater than 100° C. The method may further involve removing a withdrawal stream of the aqueous liquid from the reactor and separating and discharging suspended particles of the material from the withdrawal stream.
