  • Patent number: 7537513
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for accelerating abrasives, comprising a centrifugal wheel (8) that is driven to rotate about an axis of rotation. Said centrifugal wheel further comprises blades (2) that are disposed in a substantially radial orientation relative to the axis of rotation, and a lateral disk (4) on which the blades (2) are retained with a lateral edge. A feed line (6) for the abrasive has an opening (7) that is contiguous with the free edges of the blades (2) of the centrifugal wheel (8) outside the axis of rotation of said centrifugal wheel (8). The inventive device is further characterized in that the blades (2), on the side facing the feed line (6), have recesses (3) that are opposite the opening (7) of the feed line (6).

  • Patent number: 6843710
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for feeding blasting shots into the central area of a centrifugal wheel (1) in a shot blasting system via a feed pipe (3), whereby a distributing bushing (7) comprising a distributing opening (8) is provided in the central region thereof. An impeller (9) comprising discharge openings (11) rotates in the distributing bushing (7) together with the centrifugal wheel (1), wherein the shots which are to be accelerated enter in an axial direction, the feed pipe (3) for the shots discharges into the impeller (9) and is provided with a ring-shaped tongue (10) which protrudes into the impeller (9) in the region of the distributing opening (8).

  • Patent number: 5769693
Abstract: An impeller wheel has at least one lateral disk and an impeller cage connected centrally on a first face of the lateral disk. Blasting material to be distributed with the impeller wheel is introduced in an axial feeding direction into a central area of the impeller cage. Radial blades are connected to the first face of the lateral disk. Guide blades are connected to the first face of the lateral disk and positioned between the radial blades. The radial blades have radially inner ends spaced at a first distance from a center of the lateral disk and the guide blades have radially inner ends spaced at a second distance from the center of the lateral disk. The second distance is greater than the first distance. The impeller cage is embodied as an auxiliary impeller wheel having auxiliary blades. The auxiliary blades have a greater axial length than the radial blades.

  • Patent number: 4680900
Abstract: A device for accelerating an abrasive, which includes magnetically influenceable particles, especially iron particles, for the treatment of surfaces. The device is provided with magnet coils, which are used as accelerating elements, are arranged along the path of the abrasive, preferably on a pipe, and are energized or de-energized by the magnetic field maximum as a function of the traversing of the abrasive which moves in the coil field. The first and the second magnet coils at the beginning of the acceleration section have opposite poles, are synchronously energized or de-energized, and take a predetermined quantity of abrasive from a static supply of abrasive and convey it to the next magnet coil for acceleration purposes.
