  • Patent number: 10197253
Abstract: A luminaire includes an adjustable torsion spring assembly for mounting the light engine assembly to a mounting frame and for providing the ability to conduct maintenance of the light engine assembly. The luminaire may include a mounting frame assembly; an light engine assembly engaged with at least a portion of the mounting frame assembly, the light engine assembly comprising at least one light source configured to emit light; and a support wire adjustably-coupled at a first end to a side of the light engine assembly, the support wire extending in the first direction from the side of the light engine assembly, and comprising at least one hook at a second end.

Date of Patent: February 5, 2019
    Assignee: Focal Point, LLC
Inventors: Scott Pahl, Ken Czech, Josue Moctezuma, Zach Payne, Edwin Vice, Jr.
  • Patent number: 10107472
Abstract: A luminaire has a LED module, a block structure with a cavity, a plurality of fins extending from the block structure, and a slot extending through a sidewall of the block into the cavity. The LED module is slidably received on a mounting surface of the slot and configured to project light through an aperture of the cavity. The mounting surface has an area equal to or larger than that of the aperture.

  • Publication number: 20170314760
Abstract: A luminaire has a light engine configured to be attached to a light source circuit board or LED module. The light engine may have a block structure with a cavity extending into the block structure from an aperture. The light engine may also have a slot, extending through a sidewall of the block into the cavity perpendicular to a first direction. The slot may form a mounting surface that has a larger surface area than an area of the aperture, onto which the circuit board or LED module may be attached. Further, the circuit board or LED module may be removable from the cavity and slidable through the slot.
