  • Patent number: 6023144
Abstract: A motor drive control method and an apparatus therefor in a motor used in an adjusting device for adjusting a physical amount such as a temperature of a heat-generating member, wherein a load on a bearing of the motor caused by frequently repeating drive/stop of the motor can be reduced; thereby, prolonging the service life of the motor. The temperature of the heat-generating member is detected by a temperature detection sensor. A comparison calculating unit calculates a temperature change rate K.sub.n or the like in order to recognize the temperature of the heat-generating member and a change state (such as, a temperature change rate), and selects a rotating speed change characteristic appropriate for the change state at such time. An indication signal for changing the rotating speed of the motor on the basis of the selected characteristic is outputted to a motor control driver in order to perform drive control for the motor.

  • Patent number: 5766014
Abstract: A binary information display apparatus displays braille information with high accuracy by means of four braille pins, which are actuated by a stepping motor having a stepping angle of 45.degree. and, hence, eight step positions. The apparatus includes four pins; a triplet cam which acts on ends of three pins out of the four pins so as to independently urge such three pins to selectively project from a display surface of a pin-supporting member and to selectively retract the same behind the display surface; a stepping motor for rotating the triplet cam about an axis thereof; and a fourth cam portion which actuates the remainder of the four pins. The motor can perform consecutive seven steps at 45.degree. intervals, starting from a position where a rotation restricting projection on the fourth cam portion abuts a stopper step surface on the pin-supporting member, without causing rotation of the fourth cam portion.

  • Patent number: 5757619
Abstract: A cooling apparatus for electronic components comprising a plurality of radiating fins formed in a heat sink which is in contact with the electronic components, where at least one pair of the radiating fins are formed in parallel with one another. A motor for driving a fan to air-cool the electronic components fits in a groove formed by the radiating fins such that the motor axis is in the longitudinal direction of the groove. A motor-body support is provided on the radiating fins so as to support the motor fitting in the groove. A printed board is connected to a terminal of the motor and set up on the upper ends of the radiating fins, and a holding ridge is formed on the printed board for fitting in the groove so as to cooperate with the motor-body supports in clamping the motor therebetween.

  • Patent number: 5523634
Abstract: A stepping motor having a shaft with a magnet fixed coaxially thereon, a pair of bobbins of soft magnetic material fixed along the shaft at opposite ends of the magnets, A-phase and B-phase coils wound around the bobbins, yokes having bottom plate portions fixed to the end portion of each of the bobbins on the magnet side and having short pole teeth facing part of the outer peripheral surface of the magnet, long pole teeth of soft magnetic material having one end releasably connected to an end portion of each of the bobbins on a side opposite to the magnet and an other end facing an outer portion of an outer peripheral surface of the magnet; and pole-tooth supports of non-magnetic material coaxially placed to surround the outer peripheral surface of the magnet with all of the long pole teeth integrally fixed to the pole-tooth support members and the short pole-teeth releasably inserted into the pole-tooth housing section formed in the pole-tooth support members.
