  • Publication number: 20030202196
Abstract: An information processing apparatus accurately and automatically determines whether a page to be printed out or rendered is a color page or a monochrome page. In order to efficiently output the page, color/monochrome determination is performed to the page by examining all the pixels forming a bitmap image based on the bitmap image and an attribute bitmap image.

  • Patent number: 6348977
Abstract: A color data processing apparatus in which a type of received data is discriminated and, based on a discriminated type of the received data, a first process is executed to convert the received data into Y (yellow), M (magenta), C (cyan) and K (black) data, or a second process is executed to convert the received data into K data.

  • Patent number: 5748862
Abstract: One page is segmented into a plurality of bands (segments), and dot image data is generated on a per band basis from given information (graphic object). High-speed printing with a small-sized memory is achieved by allowing one band to be converted into dot image data and dot image data for another band to be transmitted to a printer, concurrently in parallel. When the conversion of a band to dot image data needs more time than is available for printing one band, or when the data quantity of object per page exceeds an allocated memory area, an object corresponding to a degraded image data is generated, and then the degraded image data is generated on a per band basis based on the resulting object.
