Abstract: A device for filling and reinforcing an internal tunnel preparation in a tooth in which the approximal margin is kept as short as possible in order to prevent overhangs. The device includes a closed first elongate and flexible container means having one end provided with a tip or string to enable insertion of the first container means into an interdental space adjacent the portion of said tooth, from which approximal caries has been removed. The first container means is filled or fillable with a flowable restorative material, which is intended to flow into and fill the tunnel preparation as soon as a hole has been punched into the flat container means.

Abstract: Compositions for treating or preventing dental caries and/or middle ear infections. These compositions comprise antibodies to dental caries and/or antibodies to bacteria causing middles ear infections and/or an agent preventing the adhesion, accumulation or reporduction of the pathogens of tooth or middle ear. The preferred agent is xylitol. Methods for using these compositions are also included.

Abstract: The invention relates to a medical implant, in particular a dental implant, intended for implantation in available cavities. Dental implants are implanted in extraction sockets. The implant is provided with reservoirs for a biologically active substance. An advantage of the implant is that, for dental procedures, it can be manufactured and implanted as part of a single therapeutic treatment. However, the implant can also be used as a release system for biologically active substances.

Abstract: The invention relates to an administration device for a method to prophylactically treat the mouth region of children, comprising a part intended to be positioned in the mouth, which part is provided with a dispensing container for an active agent, and having at least one aperture allowing the entrance of saliva into the dispensing container and its exit therefrom, and a part to remain outside the mouth, comprising a hand held member, whereby a filler opening concentrically opening towards the hand held member, is arranged in the area between both parts. The invention is characterized in that the hand held member and a cover of the filler opening, which cover is an integral part of the hand held member, are manufactured as one uniform unit with the rest of the administration device.

Abstract: The dental device comprises an elongated inflatable balloon for placement around a matrix band in part surrounding relationship with a decayed tooth. Upon inflation, the balloon evenly applies the matrix band against the tooth.

Abstract: An intraoral administration device having an elongated, substantially plate-like arcuate oral screen designed to conform to the teeth and intended to be accommodated in the space between the teeth and the lips. The oral screen includes containers for the agent to be administered intraorally, which containers have provision for allowing the free entrance of saliva into the container and its exit therefrom. An administration system using the administration device and an active agent, such as for example an agent against caries or otitis media is also contemplated.
