  • Patent number: 7028369
Abstract: A wet/dry type vacuum cleaner has a suction generator, a cleaner body including the suction generator at one side of a lower portion, an intake port being connected with a nozzle that is movable along a surface to be cleaned, and a discharge port through which a clean air is discharged, a contaminant separator removably mounted in the cleaner body to separate contaminant-laden wet air drawn through the intake port into the contaminant and water components and air, and then to store the separated contaminant and water therein, a cover, being open and closed, disposed on an upper portion of the cleaner body to seal an upper opening of the cleaner body, and a discharge path opening a fluid communication between the contaminant separator and the discharge port, for the air separated at the contaminant separating means to be discharged out through the discharge port of the cleaner body.

  • Publication number: 20050273972
Abstract: An extension pipe supporting apparatus is pivotally attached to a vacuum cleaner extension so as to be retractable into a storage position. The extension pipe supporting apparatus provides an included support for a vacuum cleaner extension pipe by which a vacuum cleaner extension pipe can be independently supported in a substantially upright position. The extension pipe supporting apparatus comprises a shell member mounted to an extension pipe of the vacuum cleaner, and a supporting member engaged with the shell member and pivoting between a first position and a second position, the first position in which the extension pipe is supported in a standing posture on a floor and the second position in which the supporting member is folded to be in contact with the extension pipe. Accordingly, the user can keep the extension pipe in a standing posture on a floor, and therefore, the user does not have to bend over to pick up the extension pipe from the floor when restarting the cleaning work.

  • Publication number: 20050224624
Abstract: A cord-reel assembly comprises a cord-reel body rotatably installed in the electronic device, a brake member capable of selectively contacting with the cord-reel body, so that the brake member selectively restrains the rotation of the cord-reel body, a manipulation lever having a coupling part connected to the brake member, wherein the coupling part is moved between a first position at which the brake member is contacted with the cord-reel body by the manipulation of the manipulation lever by a user and a second position at which the brake member is spaced from the cord-reel body, a elastic member for elastically biasing the manipulation lever so that the coupling part is moved to the first position, and a damper unit for interfering with the movement of the coupling part in such a way that the returning velocity of the coupling part is delayed when the coupling part is returned from the second position to the first position by the elastic member.

  • Publication number: 20050125945
Abstract: An extension pipe with a joint for a vacuum cleaner which forms a sealed channel between a cleaner body and a suction brush and includes a part bendable by a user's selection. The extension pipe includes a first extension pipe, a second extension pipe pivotably connected to the first extension pipe, at least one separation preventing cap penetrating through the first and the second pipes from the outside of the first extension pipe, and a locking unit hingedly connected to the first extension pipe. The locking unit hooks the second extension pipe and selectively locks the pivotal movements of the first and the second extension pipes. Further, the locking unit releases the locking of the second extension pipe so that the first and the second extension pipes can be bent.

  • Publication number: 20050081325
Abstract: A hose connection apparatus of a dry/wet vacuum cleaner comprises a hose holder mounted at an air inlet of a cleaner body, a hose connection pipe connected to the air inlet, and connected to a suction hose at an end thereof, a secondary connection pipe formed between the hose holder and an outer circumference of a dust receptacle to move between first and second positions, and an operation unit for moving the secondary connection pipe between the first and second positions. The operation unit preferably comprises a cover attached to the cleaner body at a pivoting axis, and acts to move the secondary connection pipe between first and second positions depending on the opening and closing operations of the cover. In the first position, the secondary connection pipe is moved toward the air inlet. In the second position, the secondary connection pipe is moved toward and into contact with the communication hole formed at the dust receptacle.

  • Patent number: 6491249
Abstract: A device for winding a power cord of an up-right vacuum is disclosed to wind the power cord on a fixed cord hanger and a rotary cord hanger by the rotation of the winding device for an easy winding. The device for winding the power cord includes a rotary member 100 inserted from the front side of the main body 200 into the rear side thereof. A power cord holder 400 is coupled from the rear side of the main body 200 into the front side for winding with guiding the power cord 300 toward a circumference direction by a rotation of the rotary member 100. A rotary hanger 500 is engaged on an upper part within a radius of the power cord holder 400 for pivoting together to smoothly wind the power cord 300 in a case of passing the power cord holder 400 and for repatriating not to come out the wound power cord 300 after passing the cord holder. And a fixed cord hanger 600 is positioned on a lower part inside the radius of the power cord holder 400 for winding the power cord 300 while passing the power cord holder 400.
