The display device includes: a liquid crystal display panel having a plurality of pixels; a color temperature compensation unit configured to determine a color temperature at each position of a light guide plate using a thermal conductivity of the light guide plate and a color temperature at a reference position of the light guide plate, and determine a color temperature compensation value at positions of the light guide plate using the color temperature; and a timing controller configured to correct at least one of an R gain value and a B gain value of the image data using the color temperature compensation value.
